Right, I was mostly wondering whether I should get the retail version and just use the stock HSF, or I should get the OEM version and get something like the SK7. I will probably just get the retail version and check out how the stock HSF sounds and then decide whether to upgrade to a better HSF...
I currently have an Athlon XP 1600+ with a Thermaltake Volcano 7 HSF, which is quite loud in my opinion. I was wondering how the noise level would be if I upgraded to a new retail 2400+ CPU from NewEgg or GoogleGear. I am not really interested in overclocking. Thanks for any info.

I there any way to tell if these are high density modules? I don't believe it would work on my Asus P3V4X motherboard if they are. Usually the super-cheap RAM always turns out to be high density.
