Follow -up on Maxtor SATA drive saga

You should not be trying to load windows = or any other highly complex program while overclocked. I always make sure to slow to stock or just slightly higher than stock, when reinstalling windows. Then, as soon as I'm done, I ramp it back up. Slowing my 3800X2 (running at 2.65 GHZ) to 2.2GHz...

BIOS settings vs. WCPUID

Oops! You've confused FSB with Memory timings... The processor should be 15X133 at stock settings, it does not work in DDR like the memory! I hope that was an honest mistake! As for his observations in the BIOS, that's just plain weird. Perhaps a BIOS update is in order?

Heck, I can't get it to download... I download the LOADER, run it, and then click through the options: then it times out and says it can't be downloaded at this time, to check my network settings... I have NO problems downloading anything else, even from Microsoft. Anyone else getting this...

Small Windows Explorer windows?

Small problem: When I open a Windows Explorer window, it comes up in about 6450X480 size (I run my desktop at 1600X1200). Even if I hold the Control key down when closing a former Windows Explorer window, it still comes open at the smaller size. Does anyone know a trick to make SURE it comes up...

Why won't floppy drives allow the LED to be replaced...?

I'm beginning to think I mixed up the 5V and 3V blue LED's... And tried it (apparently) only with 3V LED's. To my knowledge, floppy drives use 5V LED's, to I'm going to try again, with the RIGHT PART. Wish me luck.

AMD XP 1700+ Overclocking questions.....also post your highest overclocks with this processor

AMD XP 1700+ Overclocking questions.....also post your highest overclocks with this processor

'Got an XP 1700+ AGOGA, "Y" 0152 chip... running at 1.85V, 12.5X145 = 1812.5 MHz. Runs cool with the Dangerden Maze2 waterblock and heatercore - 28C idle, 32C max. LOVING this watercooling setup - it rocks! 8^)

XP1500/1600 users ,what have you overclocked to?.....

XP 1600+ running at 1727 MHz, 150X11.5... vcore at 2.08 volts. Epox 8KTA3 Pro motherboard, 640 MB Kingmax PC-150 ram. Alpha 8045 HSF, with Delta 80mm/80 CFM fan...keeps it at 39C max. System stays at 20C. Yeah - the fan is loud, but damn effective! Moving to water cooling, soon as my Spiral...

Post your Ti200 speeds

Visiontek GF3 Ti200, bought for $99 at Best Buy's after-Thanksgiving sale... Currently clocked at 255/555. I have replaced the wimpy stock fan with a Top-Motor 50mmX20mm thick, 19+ CFM fan, for better cooling, but the card reached these stats with the stock fan... This card ROCKS.
