After playing around with it, my new server is able to see my domain. Thanks a lot for your help on that one. Now i have a new error. I get this when it tries to install the AD settings on my new server. Any Ideas? *EDIT* SERVER$ = the new server

I don't think it is a problem with the webhost. If you use the DNS servers from the ISP, i can get to the websites just fine. The problem is when i change DNS server to the one sitting right next to me. Then, i can only get to www.website.com and nothing else. I tried setting up the...

yea, i get a host not found error. If i don't use the DNS server and go with the DNS of our Internet Provider, then everything works fine. What we want to do is move everything locally. So, i've been trying to work out the bugs with AD, Domain, and DNS. So far, i have everything working...

but how do you make a host file for a /admin or /webmail? Since they all are have the same IP address, why wouldn't i be able to get there from the normal www.website.com/webmail?

The server is Win2k server running AD, Domain, and DNS. All client computers are WinXP. This is my first time setting up a domain with AD. I created a OU for the domain and setup the policys in there. But, since it doesn't work, means that i am doing something wrong and i can't figure it...

Is it a good idea...

to install x windows on a webserver? I'm not worried about taking up hard drive space, i'm worried about performance. Now, the only time when i will be running X is when i have to do any maintaince on it. Otherwise, X will be off. Does anybody know what the performance decrease would be if...
