sounds good...thanks for the advice...I have a drive cooler on it right now...but I think that having a cooler on any drive 7200+ rpms should be standard.

45GB 75GXP RMA Report

I have heard of the problem with the 75gxp's...and I myself have a 45gb 75gxp...any suggestions of what to do as a precaution in case it dies? It doesn't seem to be showing any signs of problems yet...but I'm guessing that it is inevitable...

yeah i thought to but some more ram except for the fact that I am saving to build another comp right now, and the pII 400 is a picky IBM machine that has trouble accepting different types of ram

Mandrake Linux: Why so slow?

i figured that the 64mb had something to do with it. I am new to linux and had heard that mandrake was a good way to get into linux. i'm not planning on using it as a server anytime soon but possibly a firewall. i think i might try debian next. thanks...

Ok folks, need Geforce 2 reccomendation

i am going with the gainward geforce 2 ti vivo because i need video editing options...if you do not need those...i would say go with the leadtek because the price is low but has the same feaures as the rest...

good call...i get so wrapped up in these little things like 1 or 2 fps etc. but do not stop to think about the fact that its not gonna matter with my system anyways!

i've got a couple different kinds...i've got some altec lansings and some logitechs... the sets i have are only 2.1 so i dunno if they apply here. i might upgrade to 5.1 sometime but i'm taking what i can get (for free) right now the main reason i liked the audigy was because of the firewire...

wow...now i'm all confused. at first all i heard was GO AUDIGY beause of the features and price, etc...but now i hear that it has a high cpu usage and front speaker problems? i thoughts those were some of the main things the audigy was focusing on...

wow...thanks for the tip i believe i'll re-think this... also...do any of you know if the all-in-wonder had beter 3d gaming or the xtasy everything? (considering the drivers issues...my bet's on the xtasy) but i can't find any real results

pretty much...its got everything from the tv timeshifting and video editing to top-of-the-notch gameing...competitive with the ti-500 i'm thinking about waiting for this thing's price to drop...instead of getting a xtasy everything or all-in-wonder radeon...what do you think?
