i've had my laptop for 2 years 3 months (march 2002)
Sony Vaio R505DL (p3-m 1ghz)
Design capacity: 38.48 Wh
Charge capcity: 31.84 Wh
this lasts about 1:50 (it never made beyond 2:30 anyway, even with power management)
I've been looking at the T-mobile site and the deal is there, 1000 min plan with N/W etc... It must depend on the zip code you enter. I've also tried the AT&T version. I'm returning it tomorrow because it's as bad as people say, probably even worse.
try the one option that mentions about a blank screen on gaming issues, then after you hear that, it will ask if you need further assistance, press 2, i believe. i rma'ed mine and got back a blue pcb version, agp 8x
i've had that happen too....from what i've noticed....it's not worth coming out with it...b/c it always goes sour after that....just try and find someone else and convince yourself that you like that personinstead...i think it's better than destroying a relationship
if someone has a site i can upload a pic to, i can do that. also, i just took a picture in the dark, pitch black, and the result was weird. it was as if i had normal sunlight brightness in the room.
does anyone want to buy this combo off me, minus the ECS board, but plus an MSI 645E Max board (used but currently working)? i want to get the ECS so i can use some SDRAM instead, but my MSI has only DDR support. email: pekcle@hotmail.com
the faster wireless technology is not proprietary. it's actually ieee 802.11a standard, but there have been problems with multi-vendor compatibility since it's still in the infant stage. it will replace 802.11b definitely, but not as fast since 802.11b dispersed very fast.
right click on my network places and click properties. click the advanced tab and dial-up preferences. uncheck the modem connection from the auto-dial crap. windows should stop dialing after that. good luck.
i think wht nowatzki was saying is that you should install onto the desktop that has the internet connection first because that computer sets the frequency channel for ad hoc/peer-to-peer communication.
the tiger direct rebate was taken off tigerdirect.com, try getting the rebate from usr...
wasssup,
that's how i have mine configured. i have this adapter and card in my win xp desktop and i have a 3com card in my laptop. it works. i always thought 3com and usr were now one, but apparently they still produce their own line of products.
the half duplex means it can't send and receive simultaneously. if you're downloading files and browsing the web it's still receiving data. it works in packet switching anyway so you shouldn't notice any real difference
The PCI adapter does not work with other standard PCMCIA card. It will detect as the USR PC Card, so it really is non-standard. I just tried my 3com card in there and it didn't work.
Outpost.com has the USR2415 PCI Adapter WITH the Wireless USR2410 PC card for 39.95 after $30 manufacturer's rebate starting tomorrow, May 1, 2002 until June 30, 2002. The rebate link is broken but I suspect it will be up once the promotion period starts. There's shipping costs too, of course...
just for some people, this board comes has the latest via kt266a chipset and 4 ddr dimm slots. considering the price of the cpu, it's almost like getting the mobo for half the price
make sure you're using the latest software. easy cd has a 5.02 update which is supposed to support more burners. nero 5.5.5.1 should be compatible too.
