Sorry about the confusion. Every page at Midway is slow - it takes about 5 times as long to bring up their homepage and every other page thereafter compared to the XP system. TK

itachi' I can't prove any of the things I am asking about - that's why I am asking. I believe the speed of a sound is "known" and accepted by most, but I have heard different speeds referred to about other "waves?", and that is what I would like some proof of. TK

I need an automatic power on/off switch/rebooter.

Try Home Depot (Lowe's) and get a "lamp" timer. It plugs into the wall and your lamp, or whatever, plugs into it. Used a lot for turning lights on and off if you're out of the house _ vacation, etc. TK

PCI IDE controller "Dynamically disabled?

Can run 2 HD's (each a master), 1 HD and 1 CD (each a master), but can't run 2 devices on the same IDE cable (actually can run both HD's on the primary cable, but if you check Device Manager, it says the PCI IDE controller has been "Dynamically disabled"). Can't run the CD at all on either...

Hard configuration problem?

wd 30gig hd, when partitioned only 10gig shows up HELP!!!!
