Mobile Pentium 4-M

Anyone know of any motherboards other than the Comwell LV-670M for the Mobile Pentium 4-M? I have a 2.0 chip from a laptop with a fried board and would like to use it in a HTPC setup.

AMD Turion vs. Intel Centrino

I'm a HUGE AMD fan, but there is no way I would pick Turion over Pentium M.

IBM Options... X31 or T41

Congrats! I use Solidworks, and the Thinkpad "P" models are the only laptops certified by Solidworks other than the Dell Precision M series. I wish I could fit a T40p in my budget!

Toshiba and HP also do. I think I've exhausted my options, I think its comming down to one of the following: HP Compaq nc6000 HP Compaq nc4000 Dell Latitude D600 Dell Latitude x300 IBM Thinkpad T40 In reality I think the 2 HPs and Dell D600 are probably the ones I will end up...

POLL: Toshiba vs. HP

We have nc6000s at work, I've used IBM T2x and 600 series extensivly in the past, and currently have an HP Omnibook 510. All are well built machines. I will probably pick up a nc6000 for myself once the fall semester starts, it definatly beats the T4x out on value, IBMs just don't drop in...

Need some used lappy recomendations

I just got rid of my Omnibook 510 (similar to IBM X series.) A great little machine that I would recomend to anyone, battery life wasn't that great though. I would really like a 13" screen (maybe a 14" if I could find something in a 12"x9"x1.25") Must have trackpoint. No more than 5.5lbs...

Compaq Proliant 3000

Thanks to hdj and zenusic5 over at2cpu I now have the answer. Early PII processors, with CPUIDs 0650h and below, can only cache 512mb of RAM. Thus generally negating most of the benifit of having ram excedding 512mb.

Anyone have any experiance with Proliant 3000s? I just bought a 3000 6/300, waitting on it to be delivered. I noticed in the spec sheets, that it supports up to 512mb RAM, however, the 3000 6/333 supports up to 3GB of RAM. Anyone know why the diffrence? They use the same system board, as far as...

Compaq Armada Pentium packaging

Anyone know what packaging the Compaq Armada 4100 series uses for its Pentium processor? there are both MMC1 and TCP versions of the Mobile Pentium. Also... Does anyone know if it would be possible to put in a P233MMX processor in? I don't see any issues, because they both use the same 66mhz...

I like the JVC but the best MP3 HU is the Blaupunkt San Jose (and the newer version), which plays WMA. The San Jose can be found @ Fry's for $299 (or less) and on flEbay for lots less.

Bridgeing with a Linksys WAP11

Is it possible to bridge 3 networks with a LAN? We need to hook up 3 buildings that can't be connected to each toher via a cable. Would I need a DHCP server in each segment?
