Restoring outlook...

yeah i tried both of those, with no luck, cuase it would give an object not found error when trying to close the extra personal folders. But i ended up finding the solution... under help is "detect and repair", then i checked both boxes, and it retored outlook to the default state. For good...

yeah i tired that, but it still doesn't put back the default outlook.pst file, and then im stuck having to use mine that has all my stuff in it, if anyone has a default outlook.pst file i could for sure use that!

I tried to uninstall office 2003 to reset outlook. But when i reinstalled, outlook still asked for my old *.pst files. I used the "data file manager" in outlook, but that was no use. Then i even tried uninstalling, and deleteing the local settings/application data/microsoft/outlook folder that...

Getting AIM password in 5.x

I tired to use one of those "reveal contents of password boxes" programs.... but the new version of AIM does not store the password in the box... rather it has the "Saved - click here to change" thing. Is there any way to get the password from the new AIM versions?

I have out look XP, and I only see "Rules Wizard.." under tools, and if i go in there, I dont see an option for "where the to line contains people". Am I missing something, or is my outlook a different version than yours?

More than one Inbox in Outlook XP ?

I have more than one email account, and want each to have its own inbox. I tired to change the send/recieve groups to use a different folder, but the only thing I can choose for any of them is the default 'Inbox'. Any ideas?

do you need ata133 for >127gig drive?

The Cudda IV is on my home system, its a RAID 2x 80gigers = 160gig. The system im working on now is something different. Its a server with 3 160gig drives. I just tried the Intel application accelerator, and it worked, THANKS!

yeah, the controller is on board, and i ran the bios update. And if you go into the bios it reports the drive as 160gig, as it should. But still in windows I only see 127gig. I only ran sp3, Im now gunna try all the other critial updates to see if that helps. If not, any other suggestions? Do I...

I have a computer running windows 2000, with the newest bios update, service pack 3 installed, and an ata100 contoller. Yet, a 160gig drive is showing up as 127gig. I thought I remembered something about needing ata133 controller to handle a drive bigger than 127gig, can any one confirm this? or...

Looking for highend P4 board...

I dont totally mean that price is not a concern... In this upgrade im looking to get a nice mobo, like the gigabyte, around a 2.53mhz/533 p4, 512megs of PC1066, and 2 80gigers for a raid. Figuring out the wich mobo to get is the hard part, everything else is easy. Any suggestions on something...

Also what are the performace advantages of PC1066 (RDRAM) VS PC333/400 (DDR) ?? Am i better off with a very similar Gigabyte board that just has DDR instead or RDRAM? Keep in mind I'm interested in performace, not price!

I was looking at the Gigabyte 8ihxp. -i850 chipset -533mhz bus -RDRAM (800/1066) -ata133 raid -etc Seems like a pretty damn good board to me. Or is there something out there thats better, and has similar features, that I should consider looking at??

Acctually i just looked the monitor doesnt have to have a tv tuner built in, as long as it has RCA Video in, cause my cable box has an RCA out. I dono if that helps with the monitor selection at all!?!

Yeah pretty much, I dont have a lot of room, and it would be great to have both in one small unit. But if it becomes very expensive to get a decent one with a tuner, then i might just have to live without it.

from what i have seen similar monitors go for about atleast $200 more. But bassically im just wondering if this one is any good for 2D apps, and some minimal tv use. Or if anyone suggest a similar monitor, at about the same price, with the same features.

Just wondering if anyone has used or knows anything about this monitor. It almost seems to good to be true at a price of around $600. Its a 1280x1024 17" LCD with tv tuner, multiple inputs inlucding DVI-D, and speakers. LINK.

Need to get a scene from a DVD

You might be able to get away with a screen capture. Hit the print screen button, and then go into something like MS Paint and past the clipboard into the image, and it should be a shot of what was on your screen when you hit the Print Screen button. If that doesn't work I know that PowerDVD...

Thermalright AX-7 on socket 370?

I am going to be running a fan-less heatsink on my PIII Tualatin's since they run so cool - Does the AX-7 fit on socket 370 chips? If not what would be a good heat sink that fits socket 370 and runs well without a fan to use?
