Need Good Mover Proggie:

I have PM version 6 and it doesn't show any kind of mover....and you know----i think a earlier version did have one...hummm. Anyway, COA32 can't handle it, it gets error right off the bat. There must be something good for these tasks? But Thx.

Installed new HD and want to move a ton of folders (but not all) from one partition (logic drive) to another and correct all asso/shortcuts, etc. What does the gang suggest for that biggie operation?? Thanks

Asus vs Abit

I've had nothing but the best to say about ABIT, i've installed almost half of all there Mobo's to date at one time or another and have never had to send one back for any problem. I'd love to see any offical document/article related to these user's that have had abit problems because i've never...

Moving a win2k drive to a new system?

I've used a ghost image from a CDR from a totally diff HD and puter and threw it at a blank HD in a diff puter and after a few re-boots..its good. Lassie

If comcast buys ATT broadband, what are going to be the changes for me?

I have (or had) Mediaone cable and ATT bought it out and the service went to H***, now have to wait 3-4 hrs for dumb service out of Newfoundland for god sakes....if you get thru at all. So, i hope the Comcast service is better. CU8er

Help!! With dual boot Pls?

I was plugging along with Win 98se and all was fine, I added a new HD, partition it, formatted and installed Win 2000 pro and all is fine BUT "No" windows 98 now...dah!! I've read and read and understand that they should have been installed the other way around but...is there anyway of...

Hea MDAY; Could you expand on this turning the computer ON with the keyboard?? I've never seen this option or trick yet......but maybe my generic 101 board doesn't have this feature. lassie

Maybe Last Question :-)

I don't have both connected yet (at the same time). If I have the scsi connected, it boots to w2k. disconnect it and if I have the old IDE connected, it dual/boots to either w2k or w98se. Lassie

Yep, it's LVD cheetah and I thought it was acting slow but I guess it's because I had it installed on the 3rd connector from the end...i'll be changing it and see if the performance get's better. I'll also check out the adaptec site and install the drivers if ness. Thanks Lassie

I just noticed that I didn't install the LVD cable properly (Maybe)? I have it attached ok to the mobo BUT I attached the HD to the 3rd connector from the end and just read that it should be attached at the end of the cable closest to the terminated end. Is this right or even important ...

Ok...good idea. (More Please). Can I use my regular IDE controller's in any config?? Like i have my old IDE HD ready to attach back up to IDE (1) as master (and it use to be my C: drive) and I now have this scuzzy as C: off of the card?? In other words, whats going to happen when I throw that...

The card bios (at bootup) see it at 160 (means something i guess) and HD 0. (NOW), the little manual said it's preset to scsi id7 and should not be changed. (Confusing) "More", Then it said, if your computer will boot from a scsi hard disc, make sure the scsi id of the hard disk is set...

I bought a Adaptec ASC-19160-WB (controller + cables & termination) with a Seagate ST39205LW (9.2GB Seagate Cheetah 36XL) scsi cause i've never tried scsi (I guess). I was trying to find a good web site for instructions about same, the floppie (that came with it) has drivers for everything...

Yep, it's got dimm and the stick in there add's up to 32 megs. Sooo, do you mean I could add another 32 meg stick and thats all ?? Thanks Again Lassie
