Actually I think I'm going to use the switched power connector on my receiver to turn them off when it's off. That way I'll have the temp sensor for when they're on and that to turn off when they're not needed. Just got my Ac-to-dc adapter and need to order the right fans now.

I saw somewhere on avsforums where someone created their own sensor that actually turned the fans off at a certain temp, instead of just lowering the voltage. I'm going out to my local radio shack today to see what I can find.

CLEAR CASES PROS ASND CONS

Pros: There aren't any. Cons: Everything visual. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would use a clear case, you're just asking for trouble. It will never look good. I've never seen a good looking clear case and the dusting will just be problematic.

Smallest SFF PC??

there is one manufacturer that has put the whole pc into a system the size of a cd-rom drive. I can't remember who is was but I'll look around. Of course it's not exactly cutting edge speed or possible to upgrade, but it's definitely the smallest.

looking for the best Mini BareBone pc(like Shuttle XPC type)

take a look at MSI. They have a fairly unique design as the include a radio tuner with the system that doesn't need the pc to actually be booted to run.

thanks jagr. I have been interested in the dvine cases for a while but thought I'd try out ahanix with this cheap case. I think i'll have to find a way to actually see a dvine in person before dropping that kind of money on one of those cases.

i could possibly go without the floppy, though this is the only computer on my network (out of 4) that would have a floppy. It would be nice to have at least one computer with a floppy for those rare occasions that it's needed. If I can possibly stealth the cd, then I'll go without the floppy.
