purchased two of these units ... one came functional ... the other thinks that the USB cable is permanently plugged in ... Nothing changes it's status ... I e-mailed Buy.com about it and they said it is a refurb ... so too bad so sad ... All in all though the one that works do so great!

FINALLY CHEAP DDR!

FYI ... I have this memory (4x512 MB) running in a Dell PowerEdge 400SC server being used daily as a desktop and it works flawlessly. No problems whatsoever, it is great budget RAM and works flawlessly.

Damn I know I am delaying on this but the resolution is not such a big thing (doesn't look like it affects my real estate too much) ... I haven't seen the resolution of the WUXGA e1705 so I was just going with it because I tend to keep everything on my screens small to maximize my real estate...

Hmmm ... just thought of this ... I wonder if Best Buy will price match per their policy to MicroCenter's Advertised price of $299 (it is $399 at Best Buy), that would be $110 (110% price match guarantee), bringing the card down to $289, and then mailing in the ATI $50.00 rebate ... which isn't...

Thank you this was exactly the feedback I was looking for! I had looked over most of the charts and it showed a moderate gain from 9800 -> x700 series but I was looking for some more real world opinion on it. Could theoretically still pick up an x850 Pro from Circuit City for around $267.11...

AGP 8x =/ PCI-e x16 I only have an AGP port .. Did you happen to notice the fact that I said it has to be REASONABLY priced to slip in under my wife's radar. She is not tyrannical when it comes to my spending but we have a budget and when you spend ~$400-500 @ month on her medications...
