You people with size 12-13 have it easy - I wore 12-13s when I was 12 years old, and once I hit 13s, it started getting harder to find shoes.
Now that I wear 15s, finding ANY shoe that's I wouldn't be embarassed to wear outside is getting near impossible.
I've completely given up on Nike - I...
LaLaLand - the TRU deal was supposed to be 11/12 only. While the ad runs through 11/20, the AOTC was supposed to be only 11/12, as noted in the small print for AOTC specifically.
However, many TRUs (including the Sunnyvale, CA store) still have it in the system at $9.99, though they are...
Unless they carefully screen the PV DVDs before putting them on sale, I wouldn't even begin to think about buying any PV DVDs from BB.
I've had to return 2 rentals in the last 2 weeks, and almost return 2 others, because it looked like someone had stuck them to the bottom of their shoe and gone...
Hm, the 3Ware Escalade 7500-4 is $250+, and it seems to do about the same as the Promise FastTrak SX4000 that costs HALF as much.
Is the 3Ware that much better?
I have 4 identical Maxtor 80Gig U133 drives, I'm waffling back and forth on whether I should run RAID 0+1 or RAID 5. I'm not sure which box I'll be putting them in, but I'll have to get a controller card in any case, since none of my current systems have RAID onboard.
I will be running...
The CUSA in Santa Clara, CA, had almost 20 packs of the 25pk audio CDs at around 5pm. I grabbed 8, ready to argue if they didn't sell them to me, but they actually had a shelf insert showing the $.88 price, and they were in the system at $.88, so I walked out with all 8 without problems...
You can get a much cleaner copy of the rebate form from the Lexmark site here
Direct link to Z45 rebate here
It's a pdf, so will take a while on dialup, but it will print cleaner.
Question for PM at OD - do people normally just call in the order, or do you place it online, so you can get...
OK, I'm pretty sure I'm not nuts. The first page/side of the Centon $20 rebate loads, but the all important second page/side
NEVERMIND. After multiple reloads in IE and Communicator, side 2 finally showed up in Communicator.
Can someone PM me the $20 rebate form, or post it somewhere? I've tried repeatedly to get it from the OD site, it's not coming up.
I've got to have a rebate form before actually ordering this.
Or you can get rid of the drive cage fan bracket and use a frame mount bracket just like the one below the drive cage. You just need to find an extra fan bracket.
See http://www.vfaq.com/Case/ , check the Front 80mm intake fans section.
Hellraiser,
Bite me. I'm not clueless, I know you can refill the Lexmark cartridges. However, the quality of the ink is key, and knowing where to buy a good ink is of key importance. If you don't know of a good ink supplier, you can waste a lot of money and several old cartridges...
Is this one of the "good" Epsons, that has no electronics in the cartridges, so refills are dirt cheap, or is it a "bad" one like Lexmark, where cartridges have electronics in them, and drive your per page price through the roof?
OK, I went to Sears today, and they have an EIGHTEEN volt drill/light/bag/2battery combo for $99, but no such thing exists in 24V.
poonjahb - I think you need to check your receipt and box a bit more carefully. There is a ton of difference in power and cost between TWENTY FOUR and EIGHTEEN...
<< most cars have 10-12 from the factory and a repaint will normally be at least 5 coats >>
What ARE you smoking?
"Most" cars from the factory get ONE, MAYBE 2 primer dips, ONE, MAYBE 2 color coats, and ONE clearcoat. That's 1-3 paint coats and 1-2 primer. OEMs have worked very hard to...
<< I picked up a 24v Craftsman Limited Edition (with bag, light, two batteries, some bits and charger) for $99 a couple of weeks ago. Salesguy told me that they dropped the price on it, not a sale price. YMMV. >>
Are you sure about that? TWENTY FOUR Volt?
They sell the drill in case with 2...
Lots of people have done bottom intakes. My case (see my sig) has 2 bottom 120s and 2 top 120s. I'm seriously considering removing the stock 4 80s, but I'm going to at least wait until I've run the box (I haven't had time to work on it in over a month, so it's still not done).
If you use the jumpers on the drives, it doesn't matter which plug is used on the cable. Feel free to cut the "master" one off, tons of people in this forum have done so without problems.
Call Chenming and see if they are carrying the newer cases yet. If they are, go to their office and ask to buy one - don't ask on the phone, if you do, they'll just try to push you off to Antec. But if you walk in, they'll sell to you. You can buy them with a Sparkle PSU or no PSU. And if...
Salvador,
The front fans on the SC8xx/10xx use 2 different holders. One is below the bottom HD cage and snaps to the main case. The other looks completely different, and snaps into the lower HD cage.
If you don't have the HD cage holder, you CAN use one like the lower fan holder on the...
<< Nice~! bit I've got one configured in my cart for :Q$272:Q shipped, after rebates/coupons & tax.
The $100 off your next system purchase code found in "some" of the small business catalogs Dell sent out a while back works with this deal! :P
Now do I need this????? >>
Well, if...
Chenming601AE/Antec1040/Cheiftec10x0 is a good choice. 2 80mm intake, 2 80mm exhaust.
TONS of room to add more fans, and many mod companies will sell them to you with a modded side door with window/fans.
My case shows how to cram 2 120mm bottom intakes and 2 120mm top exhaust into the case.
My case shows other ideas for fan mounting locations.
I haven't had a chance to work on it for a couple of weeks, though I'm going to TRY to get going on it again this weekend. I've got a vacation coming up, and have to clean my apt majorly before going, so I may not have time.
I REALLY...
Since I'm putting an AMD board in my system (http://www.vfaq.com/Case/), I don't need the P4 cables from the Enermax PSU. However, I'm wondering if I can use the 12V square-plugged P4 cable to power my CCFLs. I'll be running up to 4 CCFLs at once, 1 12" and 3 4"), so I don't know if the P4 12V...
See http://www.vfaq.com/Case/#CCFLs for the latest mod to my new case.
I mounted 4 DPDT switches in the top slot of the intake to control the 8 CCFLs I'll be installing (4 blue, 4 blacklight).
Looking really good!
I can't even decide on whether I'll paint the outside a different color, and now you've got me thinking about what color to paint the inside.
Damn you! ;-)
The LEDs in the faceplate on this case are extremely easy to replace, but there have been questions on
it in the Forums, so here's the background.
Go to http://www.vfaq.com/Case/index.html and check the "Faceplate LEDs" section.
Yes, it's the same case. I should have probably just cleaned up the old posting, but it would have stayed in the dregs, 3 pages back, and never been seen ;-)
That's not a lot of fans ;-) Since I'll be using a Rheobus to dial them down, I wanted a lot of fans to get good airflow.
I now have...
Panaflo 120mm low flow - 69cfm, 30dba - quieter, can use more fans
Panaflo 120mm high flow - 104cfm, 41.5dba - louder, but higher flow. Run at lower voltage if too loud
See my case here
Completed mods:
2 120mm intake fans on bottom of case
2 120mm exhaust fans on top of case
Stock latch removed, 2 latches installed on door
Custom window
Mods still working on:
Front USB ports
4 switches controlling 8 CCFLs, mounted in faceplate intake slots
Acrylic rods used...
With door - Chenming 601AE
Without door - Chenming 601AR
They are the EXACT same chassis, only the faceplate differs. Unfortunately, when I was at Chenming getting some spare parts, I asked if the AR was available in black, and they said no :-/ I don't want to paint an entire faceplate, so...
It's only supposed to come with one fan cage in the lower drive cage, as the upper drive cage accesses external slots. If you mean the lower fan cage was not installed, check with Newegg or your vendor for spare parts.
BTW, if you can get the spare parts, you might consider replacing the hard...
<< Where did you get the extra handles? >>
I'm going to assume you were talking to me about http://www.vfaq.com/Case/ and the door latches, since noone else has mentioned latches/handles.
That page states pretty clearly where I got the parts. I don't know how much clearer I can make it.
If you don't like the doors on Antec/Chenming/Chieftec cases, check with the vendor to see if they stock spare parts for that case.
Since I bought my Antec SX10x0 equivalent straight from Chenming as the 601AE, I was able to buy the other side panel, opposite the door, for my custom case mods...
Probably not, but you'll have to try it and see. I'll be doing the same in a couple of weeks when I finish my system and have the time to try the 8 CCFLs I have in different positions.
People, it's a goof. That looks like a rackmount air mover, used at the top of rackmount cases. I mean, it even has a serial # tag on it!
Personally, I think it's just propped/taped against the case for the pic, to get foamers all worked up.
