2005FPW is a great monitor IF u get lucky and get one with minimal or no backlight bleeding. Mine had tons... I prefer the viewsonic VP912B over the Dell 2005FPW... less to no backlight bleeding, less ghosting and streeking, better viewing angles. Dell 2005FPW did produce tad more vibrant...
so is this monitor or the VP912B better for gaming. Sure the VP912B has better response time but the VP191 is a true 8bit and ahs a higher contrast? :)
if u buy from dell (atleast from my experience) they will send u a new monitor and pick yours up at same time. Takes about a day (awesome support as long as u talk to someone u can understand
I just received this monitor. Loving everything about it but the slight backlight bleeding on the top. Is this normal for LCDs or this monitor? im liking this monitor alot better than the Dell 2005 FPW so far and the backlight bleeding is no where near as bad as the 2005FPW. But was just...
I know theres been tons of questions about this monitor and others. I have the Dell 2005FPW right now but im sending it back cause of the horrible backlight issues. Was had a few questions about the viewsonic VP912B
1. Does the VP912B have any backlight issues?
2. Ghosting? the Dell...
any other opinions?????? Going to be purchasing either tonight or tomorrow..... Leaning towards the 2005FPW. But if there is anything better about the viewsonic could easily change my mind..
thanks :)
what kind of blacklight issues?? I heard the dell really has more like a 16MS response time from black to white. 12MS grey to grey or something? This true? What does the viewsonic have?
I cannot decide between these monitors. The main reason for buying one is for playing games. Everything else would be ok with any monitor.. But I notice ghosting pretty easily and was wanting the best monitor with no ghosting.
From just the specs the 2005FPW is bigger, higher...
I just bought me some Logitech Z2200 speakers and I have both a Creative Audigy 1 (gamer) and onboard Nforce 2 Audio. Which one would be better? Before i had my nforce 2 hooked up to my receiver and was doing 5.1 but I decided i rather have my receiver on my TV and could care less about...
thats your problem...
800x600 u wont see a difference. CPU limited there. Higher you crank your resolution the more it becomes video card dependent... Crank the resolution up to atleast 1024x768...
it depends on the game really... the TI4600 was a great directx 8 card. Playing directx 8 stuff you should see an improvement with a 6600GT but you will be CPU limited here. Now in HL2 thats weird. You should see a huge improvement. But the thing is you have direct X 9 features now turned...
EVGA 6800 i could unlock the 4 pipelines but not the last vp :( oh well im CPU bottlenecked right now for most games (athlon xp 2500+ at 3200+) anyways
Going to have to wait til Rivatuner 15 RC3 comes out to unlock my pipelines. The new cards are slightly different than the old ones and he found a way around it and the new version will let me unlock (or try to). So i have to wait few days and see if i can unlock the pipes.
funny thing is i have been building computers for 10 years now.... This was my brothers computer really and i didnt really help him much (he just told me what was going on and i looked things over and i couldnt figure it out.) So i decided to actually try and start taking things apart. Right...
bought new power supply at circuit city. (antec) plugged it in. smoke still coming out of my computer. pretty sure its not power supply this time tho...... Bad motherboard?
Got myself an Athlon 64 and motherboard (rest of the part i had before. ). After I put it together and turned it on the powersupply sparked and smoke came out. Was working fine before. One thing i did forget to do was plug in the 4 plug power cable ( i like to call it Pentium 4 cable cause...
Probably going to wait a year to upgrade CPU and then ill probably go ALL PCI express.
I opened it and installed the 6800NU and tried to unlock the pipelines. This is what i did. opened rivatuner went to low levle system settings.. NVSTRAP driver. install it.. and then check the...
ya.. and in a few of the benchmarks on this site seems the 6800 is just as good of a value as the 6800GT. im all about price/performance :)
Ill think about it more. Thanks :)
ya thats what i was thinking. Also at such a lower resolution by todays standards (1024x768) i figured wouldnt be a big difference. Wouldnt hurt anyones feelings. But if its really that much more powerful then i guess i probably should return it
Got a 6800NU for Christmas. Really happy about it but was thinking to myself would it be worth returning it and spending a extra $100 for a 6800GT?
I have a Athlon XP 2500+ at 3200+ speeds and always run a game at 1024x768 without AA or AF. But like to turn the settings to max. Is there...
Well lets see. I would say Everquest but imo last few years it got really boring. But theres always been one game i could load up and have fun with. STARCRAFT. IMO Starcraft is the greatest game of all time. I still play it once in a while. Most of the games that are that old are in the...
because hard drive manufactures find ways to put more information on 1 platter and at the same time make it so the hard drive can read the information. Technically you could be right to an extent..
but most likely there is no way a 100GB hard drive could be turned into a 200GB hard drive...
technically some video cards can be flashed to perform like a more expensive card. But most of the cards have the same amount of pipelines as the card there being flashed to. If one card has 14 pipelines and the other one has 16 then its a real likely chance its done on the hardware (meaning...
Well actualy what i did was this. The only payment im asking for is ill give him my 2x256MB of PC2700 samsung that i have for the bufallo..

He doesnt do anything serious. He just wants a stable system to do microsoft word and email and stuff. this thing probably last him 3 years atleast (if it lasts that long)
Im building a computer for a friend and he wants to spend under $600. he needs an OS as well.
This is what i put together..
