A problem with GF2 Ti?

Yes, I have tried changing resolution/color depth, the strips may look superficially different at different refresh rates and resolutions but essentially its all the same. I have just replaced the monitor under warranty and the situation is still the same. But some cards work with this monitor...

Upgrade from GF2Ti ?

Well, I was actually pretty much satisfied with GF2Ti performance (some improvement would be nice of course), at least until I try C&C generals (but the processor could become a bottleneck there anyway), but it just doesnt want to work properly for some reason... :( I havent considered GF3...

Upgrade from GF2Ti ?

My system is Athlon 1.2Ghz, 512M PC2100 DDR SDRAM, Epox 8K7A (AMD 761 chipset). What do you think would be a reasonable upgrade? Will GF4 Ti4200 be much better than say GF4 MX440 given processor limitations (I play only RTS games, and I'm not very demanding at all)? And what can be other...

Q: good MBs for Athlon XP 1800 ?

It looks like my old MB has died, and it's been a while since I've done any research on this ... Which chipsets/motherboards do you think are the best for use with this processor now ? Stability is important, as well as price, and, if possible, not being too sensitive to the power supply...

If you plan to install some version of Windows on these, you may also consider 'naked' pc's from walmart (yes, walmart sells PCs without ANY os too).

SD: I really don't think waiting 2-3 years for that $750 is a good deal at all. Getting 1% each month is much better. I'm using Shell and am happy with it (it also helps that my local Shell gas station has very competitive prices...)

To all widescreen fans: imho you are all wrong here. The above referenced site says that T2 is a rare exception in the sence that it was actually _shot_ in the full-screen format, and the widescreen theatrical version is the one that misses a large part of the picture ...

BB T-Day Nikkai DVD 800a followup

Antec SX830 problem

I just got my new subj, and now there is a question. Apparently the top front panel does not come off when the left side panel (the one with the latch) is attached to the case, since the left release button gets stuck :( Is it a general feature of these cases or mine is defective ?
