I am running a 1.4 athlon with an asus a7m266
I want to know how to change from using the Promise ata100 controller to the standard ide ata100 controller since i'm only using 1 harddrive and not running a striped configuration.

For my 1.4 athlon I am using a Thermaltake VolcanoII. 36 cfm and 31.5 dB...I consider that a pretty good specs. Thoughts?

Hey, I'm having the EXACT same problem with my new computer
1.4 Athlon, IBM Deskstar 40 GB.
My comp freezes, then i have to manually reset it. then it goes to the windows registry error window and tries to back it up. I then restart and goes back to it. For a few times actually too.
