Yeah, the more and more I read through the google search, that's all any of them state... South Korea only. Samsung never did expand it.

BIOSTAR TForce6100 Micro wih a Nvidia 7800GT

I have the exact setup. There's an integrated GPU option in the bios under Advanced. Two settings: "Aways on" or "Auto". It should automatically default to the PCIe card. Though, I'd check to be sure it's on auto before booting for the first time.

Difference in quality between 17" and 19" LCDs?

Gateway FPD2185W or NEC 20WMGX2

I went to CompUSA today and behold, they had the 215TW. They were nice enough to take it out of the box, hook it to a computer (Dell Duel Core...intel graphics) and let me test it out. I had my thumb drive with me that has grey scales, color gradients and other forms of LCD test pictures on it...

Samsung 215TW... I'm assuming the Gateway uses a Samsung panel too, so the 215TW would definately be worth checking out. If the NEC wasn't so expensive, I'd most likely be all over it. I like the idea of a TRUE 8-bit, though. What I've read about the NEC, people are saying it's definately...

HP L1955

I think it seems like a good monitor. I've been looking into it. I like the 176° viewing angles, true 8-bit color, and decent response time. PC mag liked it back in a Dec04 review: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1738352,00.asp I haven't seen any mention on this forum except here...

16:10 ratio

Hmm...if a 7800GT is good enough for some high res gaming, then something is bottle necking my system. For example, I barely get out of the 40's in Quake4 @ 1280x1024 no AA/AF. Most of the time I play at 1024x768, and that's not much of an improvement with the fps, and it's still choppy at times...

That's a good thought too... I did over clock it to see if the processor was the fault. At 2.1ghz the performance saw only a 2 frame increase in Doom3. This is upsetting, because like I said, I put a 6800GT with my 3000+ (at the default 1.8ghz) and at 1280 I was in the 70s for a framerate...

Not as hot as I was hoping. I'll be honest, its loss of "hotness" wasn't about the benchmarks. It was the lack of product. I was throughly impressed with Nvidia launching the 7800 with wide availability. Ati has struck out 3 times in a row about this matter... Platnium Editions...

I don't believe it! Turning OFF DMA did the trick. I never even bothered to try that because from everything that I have read, DMA needs to be ON in an AMD system. What is to be expected now that it's off?

I suggest try putting it on it's own IDE cable as a master. Don't sare it with the hard drive. Also, have you updated the firmware for it? See if that helps.

How's it work just copying a file or extracting a zip file from it to your hard drive? Do you get CRC errors? I have simular probs with my TDK VeloCD 16-10-40x (I posted in this forum about it) and with it I cannot burn or copy a simple file to the desktop. But, every other drive so far works...
