Steven, thanks for the examples.. will try to look for the said 3M products this weekend..
Naruto, did your technique leave any swirl marks? or perhaps, uneven lapping of the glass?
I have been searching around for an automotive cutting compound over the weekend. No luck. What would constitute "good quality" automotive cutting compound?
Wow.. the thread springs to life.. Finally, some answers.. I think I will try alcohol first.. and then some glass cleaners.. if those don't work, I will probably opt for the automative cutting compound (don't know what these really are but will check it out anyway.. I am desperate)..
My 2...
Sorry.. guess I wasn't clear. I am using a Visa credit card and it's issued in Malaysia. I would like to make payment using my credit card but have the items shipped to my cousin in the states.
Anyways, I was doing some serious searching and I did find one place that accepts my credit card...
Want to buy some cooling kits to be send over to my cousin in the US. However, having a hard time locating a webstore that accepts international credit cards. I am desperate. Any of you guys can recommend me a shop that do accept international c/c?

Need to buy some cooling stuff to send over to my cousin. But it's difficult to find a shop that accepts international credit cards. Any of you knows of a webstore that do?
Wind,
Well.. I have to say that the last time AMD officially cut prices, the effect wasn't that pronounced here in Malaysia.. probably what you say is true.. Hmm.. but why do you say that the next significant price cut will be in March?
I am currently running an Athlon XP 1800+ on a KR7-Raid...
Nice score josh.. Just wondering, since you are using SB Audigy on your rig, are you having any incompatibility problems with the board? I am thinking of getting an Audigy myself but I have been reading that some users have been encountering problems when the KR7A-Raid and Audigy are used...
Damaged your card? I doubt that is the case unless you are overclocking to the extreme without adequate cooling. I think you just need to get your drivers sorted out.
Are you running on Windows XP? It's a bit finicky when it comes to drivers, especially uncertified ones.
Josh, I think the problem lies in using 2 sticks of ram. Trying using one and you should be able to see stability higher FSB. Also, there are rumours that using the ram on Slots 2 and 4 offers better stability and overclockability. I haven't tried it out on my rig. Perhaps you can check whether...
Hi guys. Need your opinion on this. I am currently running on Windows XP. Since I have an "old" 4.3gb Quantum drive lying around, I was thinking of replacing my current HD with this one, format it and install Windows 98SE on it. The reason why I would want to do this is I would like to find out...
Rick, I doubt the problem has anything to do with your hardware. It's either something to do with the drivers you are using or Windows XP. Reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows should solve the problem. Hopefully, the problem won't pop up again. So far, the problem has not...
Guys.. perhaps you should trying using the "System Restore" function.. I have had the same problem bugging me and I tried just about everything I read off the net except for "System Restore" (didn't know Windows XP came with it).. In the end, I got so irritated that I just reformatted my hd and...
I am currently using the Via 4.37a on my Windows XP system without any hiccups (touch wood!). I am not sure whether the new drivers were the contributing factor but I did notice that my memory benchmarks went up quite a bit after I installed it. Previously, after much tweaking, I could achieve...
Don't quite believe the cpu database at overclockers.com. I'd rather rely on the experience relayed by the ppl here in this forum.
Is achieving speeds in excess of 1.7ghz (@1.85v) a norm with the Athlon XP 1800+ if it's still locked?
<< finally got 3dmark2001
oc my visiontek to 240/500 so far but i only get 4700 or so
i have a thunderbird 1ghz oc to 1.1 by increasing the fsb to 110 and i run my memory asynchronysly at cas2-2-2 at 146mhz

Got so sick and tired of the error that I reformatted my whole hd and reinstalled Windows XP. Scoured the net for answers and in the end, I still couldn't figure what was wrong. Reinstalled my nvidia drivers. Even took the trouble to download the latest ones but to no avail. The latest VIA...

Any idea what's causing the error? Hmm..
I am experiencing the exact same problem except that it first occurred when I started overclocking my graphics card. I have since restored it to its default speed but the "error" still keeps appearing whenever I boot up my comp. I am not sure whether the appearance of the "error" is directly...
Yup.. you are probably right about causing permanent damage to the card. I don't think I will be running it overclocked for extended periods of time. Just wanted to see how high it would go. :)
