I am getting ready to switch from DSL to cable (Adelphia).
I have a wireless home network via a Netgear MR314 (Cable/DSL) wireless router.
My question is:
Is there a certian modem I should buy to replace my DSL modem so that it wont mess up my network?
I assume all I need out of the modem is...
I have been backing up my digital photos on to CD for a few years now. Recently I went back to look at some
old photos and they would not read "invalid file header". On the same CD half would read, half would not.
I noticed that the date of the files that would not read were from when I had...
For anyone else looking to get a capture card out there. I had 3 of them...
Dazzle, Pinnacle, and then the Winfast 2000 XP Deluxe and I liked it the best.
Don't let the $50 price make you think its a cheap card, it works great.
I have a form based on a query, it loads all the fields with data from last record.
How can you have these fileds clear when the form load?
Also how do you "compile" this database into an exe, so that it can be run on a machine without access.
Thanks
You da man....
I think thats got it now.
Is there anyway to bypass the the popup box "You are about to append"...So it will just run the query and not
ask you that?
Thanks again
Ok I made the append query and go it to execute but it says "append 0 records" just great..
In the code right before it does the docmd to open the query do I set the table field values (that Im appending) to the ones on the form?
If so, what would the code look like (table = [Cash] and field...
I probably would be easier like you said, but I figured I better put the fields Im going to be messing with by themselves
or Im going to screw the whole database up when I "try" to update. This way I figure I can only ruin one table at a time:D
Ill get to reading on that now. Thanks you have...
I got to questions I cant figure out (trying to learn access on my own).
(1) how do I write a record to a table that the form is not based on?

I want to write the form variable [totaldue] to a table called [Sale] in the record [total]
This should be a new record in the table

That worked thanks!
Yea, your probably right about having just 1 table for that info, but I am going to be changing the quanity on hand.
I started trying to figure out how to change that 1 field without impacting the rest of the table yet. I really gotta get a
better book than what I have...
Im trying to right a "simple" database to keep track of inventory.

I didnt check hotel packages. I figured with those discounted tickets I would get them now
and check on the hotel later when I heard of a good place to stay (off park perferred).
DisneyLand (Cal.) is where we are going, also going to San Diego Zoo after our visit at the park is over.
Oct 19-23 we will be going to DisneyLand. (Already order the 5 day hopper passes for the price of a 3 day).
Now I need a place to stay and other travel advise from those who know. I got great advise here on last years vacation

2. I have my own laptop but I dont really want to pack 2 laptops on trips...
Is there a way to get around this issue. It has Windows NT on it and big brother has

Yes the carries have the ole 4 pin power connectors in them, but since they are independent from the main connector
my thought was that maybe one of those little dip switch looking connectors had to be hooked up to "tell it" there is a drive here
send the power? CRU Data Port V this is the carrier.
