I may have missed this, but what are you cooling it with? I ordered a 1.8a also and I will have a soyo P4I board. I am tempted to pump it up slightly (I have some headroom) but i will probably chicken out and stay at 1.8a. Though I have retail, i don't entirely trust oc'ing northwoods yet...

Why would anyone buy a Radeon 8500?

The 8500DV retails for about $300 (closer to $315 but listed at $400). I chose the 8500DV because I actually plan on using all of its features. Traditionally I have never like All in one type cards, but this one fit my needs so i bought it. Granted had i waited on building my system for about...

Hmmmm, I didn't have to give them any additional information to get my card upgraded. I'm not sure what they require for upgrades, but perhaps they were accomodating to me because one of their reps had given me incorrect information about the blue for students card.

I have an amex blue for students and according to the customer service, that card does have a BVG. I haven't tried it yet (I'm going to buy a lot of stuff for my new system this week, so hopefully the person didn't confuse the two cards. (At least i remembered to get a name this time :-)
