That long? :( January is still pretty far away. I guess it should be worth it though, those new cpus look really nice and I can probably wait that long....
Anyone have any opinions on when they think the Mac Pro will be updated?
I'm probably going to want to pick one up soon, but it's been a pretty long time since they've updated and I really don't want to buy one just before.
What's this I hear about a new Intel architecture? Is it likely to...
It's been a pretty long time since we've seen any updates to the Mac Pro.... I was wondering if there is any news about when it might happen soon? I want to pick one up but if they are going to be updated soon, it might be a dumb move.
Yeah neither am I, I've read quite a bit that suggests they are basically useless, and arguably worse than that, since they might stop some users from being able to access your site.
(I have to select one though for work :))
I've really only found two so far that have audio and ASP.Net integration... reCAPTCHA and captchas.net.
Do you know of any that are downloadable? (e.g. not a service)
The main requirements are that it supports ASP.Net integration and that it be accessible (audio option and alt-text for buttons, etc.)
reCAPTCHA is interesting, but I'm concerned about security and reliablity... from what I understand by reading their documentation, when you submit a request...
I just moved into a new place and tried to connect my printer up again to the network and I just can't get it to work.
I used to be able to printer using OS X (using the bonjour protocol), but now nothing seems to work. It's getting an IP address and I can configure it using http, but neither...
I've had the same experience with all of my laser printers. If you look at the fuse/power requirements on the back they are actually huge... but like others have said this is for the initial heating up of components, it doesn't suck that kind of power constantly while in use.
I've been really happy with this printer until today when I tried to print some documents and little dots were printed down each page every few inches in a line. I tried cleaning? the toner cartridge by taking it out and sliding the little blue tab back and forth, but it didn't seem to help...
So I solved the issue. The system only has 128 MB of ram and my preferences were set to use 25% of my ram at max... apparently this was just slightly below 32 in reality, which is the minimum for seti to run. Everything seems fine now :)
Apparently Pentium MMX isn't as fast as it used to...
It's nice to be back :)
So I installed boinc/seti through the apt-get command in debian using nothing but the command line (this computer doesn't even have X11 installed) I believe all my settings are correct for my profile and that run always is enabled.
I noticed in get_state that I'm...
Hi everyone,
I haven't been on the forum in a million years, but I wanted to get back into SETI a little bit. I'm having problems getting boinc to work properly using just the command line (no graphical interface). I setup my password file for the daemon, attached to the seti project with my...
Well, the thing is, we want to have some content static in the page around tables. And be able to scroll through the tables. Unfortunately it has to be split, because the second one most also be able to move horizontally.
Any idea how that might be done in javascript?
Thanks!
Hi,
We've come across a site at work that could really benefit from having two scroll bars that are linked so that moving one also moves the other the same amount. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I've tried to google a solution, but no luck yet.
Thanks!
I wonder at times whether or not these problems are caused by the really low prices, that they are pushing all the components they use to save money and maintain their margins.
Well, last night I tried very hard to clean everything off with alchol and it didn't seem to help at all. Some people have said they've had success with it though. I think it's hard to say whether or not they are related... could have been the same issues caused by something else, like an overly...
I'm not sure about the power button, but if you are using DVI, make very sure the connection is good...they are a lot more finicky than vga connections.
Yeah, it's quite possible.... there is what looks like a date on my card "W04/06" I wonder if that means April 6th? I'm really disappointed...I was looking forward to getting into Oblivion, and now my new LCD is sitting idle with a brand new rig :(
Hmm..... maybe I'm just lucky :) The problems only seem to show up after a few days for most people (from what I've read), which is why I added that last option. My card was really great for a few days then yesterday when I got home..... just terrible :(
I have the same card and almost the exact same experience.... check out my poll about this. After XFX gets back to me, I'm guessing I'll be RMAing it :(
After a quick search, I decided to post a poll about people's experiences with their 7900gt. After I started having issues with my card, I looked to see if anyone else was having any problems, and it seems that it's not uncommon. If anyone knows anything about this situation, that would be...
Yeah, it's possible. I think I'm going to clean the whole card tonight and reseat the heatsink. What do you think about pressure applied? They tell you to "fully tighten" the nuts, but what does that mean?
I installed this cooler last night, and I'm actually not able to overclock as far as I could before(and even some problems at stock)... temperatures are good, but I'm having problems with black screens and corruption. Anyone know how tight you are supposed to screw in the thumbscrews? If you...
I've even been having some issues at stock.... stock is 520/1500 and I was running at 560/1800 before. I'm starting to wonder a little bit if it's software related, like something got corrupted or recked on my windows install. It seems to generally work fine until I open up the properties window...
I just swapped out the standard cooler on my XFX 7900GT for a Zalman VF900-CU (with AS5) and ramsinks and I'm having a lot of stability issues suddenly. Anyone know how tight the cooler should be installed? It seems like the board is slightly bending because of the pressure. (could this be...
So I ended up buying a new psu(OCZ 600W Game XStream... I want to take the parts from my old machine and build a second one anyhow), and I get the EXACT same voltage readings, lol. I guess my board's voltage readings aren't accurate? Prime shows everything to be stable right now. My ram still...
Thanks for the response...I was unaware which sata ports I use would matter... however I did make sure the HTT stayed below 1000. It looks like all of the sata ports are locked.... does that mean I'm ok for that or are there other issues? The only reason I think it may be PSU related is that my...
Yeah, it's kinda scaring me... I think I'm going to go get an OCZ Powerstream 520 today and sell off my old Enermax....
