This is what I was running. I ended up finishing my overclocking run at 2170 (174*12.5) after being able to run Prime95 continuously for a few hours without errors. I loved it at 2320Mhz but I need a stable system...

Well I broke down and went to Costco and picked up a 512Mb stick of Simpletech PC2700. I was able to push the FSB to 200 and boot however my OS went corrupt again (corrupt pci.sys). I'm currently reinstalling Win2k at 185x12.5 = 2320Mhz!!!

hey darqice,
I've got an old stick of Crucial 256mb PC2100 I'm using right now, I think this is limiting me FSB-wise. I haven't been able to go above 180 though my motherboard (MSI KT3 ULTRA) supports well over 200.
At 2230, under load and with the case closed I'm maxing out at a temp of 46C...
Guys,
I haven't been a part of the overclocking crowd in a while but this new CPU is just amazing me, I've never liked overclocking AMD's - as a matter of fact I've had a few that need to be underclocked to run stable :(
I'm unable to verify this, but I'm pretty sure this CPU is unlocked...
Cooper, Blah,
I appreciate your replies! I took a look at the MAX618 like it was made for exactly what I'm trying to do - I'll order a sample tonight.
BTW how loud do relays get when then switch? Could they be heard from within a case?

Hi all, I've been searching google all of this morning to no avail. I have a color LCD display that I'm attaching to a computer case. The LCD requires 12v and 500ma. I'd like to be able to power up and down the display using a serial interface. I'm a VB/C++ programmer so the programming...
First off your motherboard has problems with many sound cards. Try searching groups.google.com for a way to correct the problem or for a compatible sound card.
Second, ditch the DVD card. You don't need one and it adds the additional chance for fault. If you really want to minimize CPU use...
Hey all, a quick search of Google Groups led me to a site with a 25% coupon code for HSN first time customers.
The terms are as follows: XXXXXX is valid for 25% off each item in your first order on hsn.com (maximum savings of $50 on each item). Coupon can only be used once. Excludes Today's...
KT7A's have been known to have problems with some sound cards including the SB Live! series. Try removing it and see if the crashing stops.

Lately I've seen growing number posts from people blaming a variety of computer issues on the Power Supply. Though I suspect this is mostly in part due to people moving to AMD based systems I can't help but feel that this "solution" has been blown extremely out of proportion.
Do you feel that...

It is most definately one of the motherboards I listed. These are very very cheap motherboards with poor driver support and errors abound.
Trust me, its not a heat or ps issue the motherboard is the problem.

<< According to ATI's website the TV Wonder can do TiVo like funtions;
"Set the time and channel of any TV program you want to watch and ATI-TV WONDER? will notify you when it comes on
No time to watch it right away? The digital VCR can record the program to your hard drive so you can view it...
Well...
I've had both but I don't run XP I run Win2k. In Win2k ATI's software worked best with me. As far as TIVO like functionality you will need either an AIW Radeon/8500DV or a WinTV PVR. You'll pay for it either way.
However... If you choose to use either a WinTV, ATI TV Wonder...
Sold your Radeon AIW huh? hehe
Get the TV98 from buycomp.com for $38 and use WinDVR from Intervideo's website for the Tivo like features. However if you want optimum picture quality I highly suggest the Dscaler beta.

Hehe my second hot deal post, I'm on a roll today!
My B&M Burger King in Lake Tahoe is offering Red Cross sponsered charity sales of car window stickers with the US flag and under it the words "God Bless America".

I saw an article about it this morning. Read here

I had this keyboard mouse, I used it in my living room entertainment system from the couch and it was terrible - especially when gaming. I don't know I hear a lot of good reviews but I think people are using it on desktop system in which the distance is merely 2-4 ft.

That is a good question. You should be able to view the # of heads for the drive by going into the BIOS and running a Hard Drive scan - be sure to not change the pins from what you had them. Also it may list the number of heads/sectors on the top of the drive itself.
I'd guess 16, but I'd...
I've had this error before but it was on a Maxtor Drive. Your IBM probably has two pins - you only need one to set it to master - look it up on the diagrams on the drive. This should get you booting.

Go to Control Panel/Add Remove Programs
Select Microsoft Internet Explorer and press Add/Remove
Select "Repair"
And see if that works.

Here here, I really wish they had a stable card - it was nice having a great all in one solution for my 52" monitor/entertainment center but the driver support was terrible and the card crashed frequently in Win2k. I got a Geforce2 GTS Pro and Hauppauge WinTV instead, great cards.

Re-reading your post, you do have a vsync problem. Even if you have vsync disabled in the game you have to have it disabled from the display properties.

If you saw PPPOE you probably have it like me. I highly suggest replacing it with RASPPPOE. It works with Win2k, has a small footprint and can connect you automatically when booting up (simulating an always on connection).
The reason it says your connecting at 10Mbs is because that is your...
