    No. A laptop's panel has a discreet and fixed number of elements making up the picture. Increasing the resolution beyond this would be futile as information would be lost. One can however, scale a lower resolution up to fit.

    I don't understand why cable should be inherently less secure than DSL. Surely any potential attack will have to come at either the IP or maybe MAC level, and as both DSL and cable usually use ethernet (or pseudo-enet), then surely it doesn't matter?

    My onboard CT5880 (PCI128 of sorts) works just fine under WinXP and Linux. No complaints about compatibility or sound quality. Pity it doesn't support EAX, but then again, how popular are these proprietry APIs anyway? RtCW doesn't support anything other than DirectSound.
