How do I use an ISO file? I heard i'm supposed to burn them to a CD then I could play the game. I burned it to a CD and I still get nothing. The file is there but how do I use it? How do I get it to install my game so I can play it. It came in two seperate ISO files each 700+MB. Could somebody...
Somebody told me I had to burn them onto a CD before I could play the game. Plus I need to back up the files anyways. Is there another way to play the games without burning them to a CD?
I don't think it is warez. One of the files took an entire 700 MB disk and the other is too big for the CD. Even after I compressed the files it's still too big by 6 MB. Is there a program or a way I split the files in two?
I down loaded a game and it came in two seperate .ISO files. Did I down load some bogus files or is there some way I can use these files to play the game?
<< What powersupply do you have is my question? >>
I'm actually using a COMPUSA brand Powersupply. It's 500 watts. I'v checked my voltage with motherboard monitor ( I think it was motherboard Monitor ) and I was getting 12.1v , 3.2 v, and 4.95 v.
I'm doing a school report and it involves building a computer from scratch. I need to know some good websites to look around on. I need everything from CPU to TOWER to MONITOR to MOTHERBOARD......................EVERYTHING. Thanks guys.
<< what kind of mushkin ram? basic, or high performance? what is the latency of ur ddr? >>
Couldn't tell you. All I know is that it has a heatsink thing on it and it is PC2100 Mushkin DDR. How would I find out the rest? Just look on the memory chip?
I was just wondering if it's just me or not. When I go into my CMOS and set the system performance to fast instead of normal it freezes alot. I forget where in CMOS it is but I know it's there. Does anybody else have this problem? Is there anything I can do to keep it from freezing?
I can't believe nobody said anything about TDK. I have one and it does the job. Can't say much about the price cause it was givin to me. But TDK also has a 40X burner.
So let me ask a some what similar question. Suppose I have 2 Cd-roms on one IDE controller, if I put each cd-rom on it's own IDE controller would the cd-roms get better perfomance. Since they don't have to share the IDE controller with any other device, I would think it would get better...
Exactly what it says. How many devices can one IDE controller handel? I have 3 CD-ROMS ( burner, dvd, regular 56x ) and I wanted to put them all on ONE IDE controller because I only have two on my motherboard and the other one is for the hard drive ( the 56x is currently on that one also ). I...
<< I gave my bro my old PC that had a V5 5500 several months ago. If they make some good V5 drivers for XP, maybe I'll upgrade him from Win98. >>
I have the same voodoo card and I had Windows XP and my voodoo worked great. I still like my V5.
I currently have an EPOX 8K7A. I'm very happy with it but I just want a better board for gaming and preferably has 4 IDE controllers. I was looking at two boards both from EPOX. "M762A" and "8K3A". The M762A is a dual processor but thats ok. I think dual processors are better anyways in some...
I'd say TDK. I have one and I burn CD's almost everyday. I haven't had a problem. I've had it for about 6-7 months now and it's doing pretty freekin good. A good thing about it is that Windows automaticaly detects it and you don't have to install anything. As probably with most CD ROMS. Also TDK...
My TDK burner is running really slow. It's 24x10x40. Before it would take me about 5 minutes to copy a CD. Now it's taking me 45 minutes to copy the SAME CD. Before I was running 98SE now i'm running W2K Pro. I did a Clean install for windows 2k. When I was running 98SE it would burn the cd's in...
I need a good heatsink fan for a 1.4 athlon. It is overclocked but not by much. I'll probably put it back to it's original speed. It is currently running at 1.5 Any suggestions would be helpful. I have the Volcano 5 heatsink and fan.
I have a AMD Athlon running at 1.4 gig and is not overclocked. The BIOS shows that it is running at 136F. Is this a good temp for an Athlon of this speed? I have a Volcano 5 Heatsink and fan and two case fans. What is a good temp for the processor to be running at? How hot can it get before it...
<< Your system rig profile shows you to be using Win XP. With that in mind, change the boot sequence in BIOS to cdrom, hard drive, floppy and put the XP cd in your drive. You will then see a prompt to "hit any key to boot from cd" and do so. Follow the on screen prompts.

I reformated my hard drive and when it boots up it gets past the BIOS and then tells me invalid system disk. I tried rebooting it and puting in a start up disk but it won't read from the floppy drive or the cd rom. I went into BIOS and it does detect the floppy drive and the cd rom so I went to...
Yesterday when I was coping a cd it took 20 minutes. I have a TDK 24x cd burner and I know it shouldn't take 20 minutes. The Estimated time says around 3 minutes not 20 minutes. I was thinking maybe I have to have them on different ribbons and on different IDE to get the full use of the cd...
