Radeon 64 DDr -Engineering Sample

AFAIK all the "engineering sample" 64MB cards had the 6ns, 166MHz DDR- the retail cards originally had 5.5ns 183MHz RAM

Best Geforce2 Pro card

Bah on that Starforce at newegg. 5.5ns RAM is not even a real pro. The original pro spec had 5ns RAM, running at 200/400MHz default. This is more overclockable than these new "pseudo pros", and much more likely to achieve near Ultra levels of performance.

HELP!!!! GEFORCE2 PRO PROBLEM!

Hmmm, this is trying to remember something from waaaayyyy back, but I thought vsynch tries to synchronize game frames to screen refresh rate? I.E. Refresh rate @ 75 Hz (75 cycles/sec?) FPS is capped at 75, usually ends up less. So game frame is matched with screen redraw. Somebody confirm or...

LOL- Dave, you 3dfx engineers screwed up! The lowly MX besting the v5?! Heehee, I have to agree with you this is not true. Original poster- I would say the GTS is more "future proof" in that nVidia is still making drivers, which may address game incompatibility and performance issues...

The name is non-politically correct, I would not buy it. The noble heritage of Jeronimo must not be degraded by association with a vga, only casinos. Buy a Voodoo 5 instead, Haitiian voodoo practicioners have less clout with the political correctness police.

Whats the diference between a Geforce2 32 DDR Pro & Geforce2 32 GTS

I hit eVGAs website, very interesting. They say on their mainpage that the 32MB "Pro" has 5ns memory, but then if you click a link some end users say it really has 6ns memory. As wise Axl Rose once said, "Tell me who you're gonna believe"

Syst3m is right, the difference between GTS and Pro is the RAM is clocked at 200MHz (5ns) as opposed to 166MHz (6ns)

Problems with Ka7-100 and radeon 64meg vivo

1. Disable DOS Emulation on SBLive, and USB hubs, in device manager to free IRQs 2. Try different RAM (kingston value doesn't sound like a good candidate for AMDs rec. list 3. Move cards/reinstall till you have no shared IRQs 4. Pray to God of AMD

From TNT2 Ultra to Radeon VE.. Worth it?

VE will NEVER run at LE, SDR, DDR, or VIVO speeds because it only has one pipeline instead of two. (so it only has half the fillrate) Any of the above is a good upgrade for TNT2 , esp. 32 DDR and VIVO. Also, why not buy an MX for that kind of jing?

Q3 vs. Prophet Pro question

That's what I was thinking also, it seems to run faster once I've been through the screen. But I don't have this issue on Q3 engine games, and I haven't had it until now. I just changed to VIA chipset/Athlon from trusty P3 600. If it were AGP issues, I'd think other games would suffer.

Arod: I'll buy that. I don't think the very slight performance difference between the SDR and MX would be noticeable, and the MX is $10-$20 more, but it would be a better card. ANYTHING is a better card than that Radeon VE. Jesus. 1 pipeline on a 2001 video card.
