Oe will import the dbx file and put everything back the way it was, including any email folders you used to have. you might lose some graphics/attachements however. there's an option in the menu for it somewhere. keep at it, you'll figure it out eventually. it's the way i always do it. i...

but then any mega SUV will eat any volvo for a light snack so it's all relative

FYI Hypercar (? -- dunno about name for sure, just heard this on NPR a couple days ago) of Utah has a prototype hybrid car that not only gets great gas milage, but with the special fiberglass body you can WALK AWAY from a head on at 35mph. try...
i worked out a decent way to get it off with a very small screwdriver that fits into the slot very well combined with a saab 900 (classic) front disk brake tool. no problems now :)
if you've never delved into auto wiring (and even worse: dashboard disassembly!) before, might i *strongly* suggest you find a savvy audiojunkie gearhead friend to help you through it.
i've been ripping cars/engines/whatever apart since i was a little kid (yes, putting them back together too)...
ok, WTF. i've been crunching packets for a week or so now on three machines... why should i take all the credit when i discover ET. i thought i'd give y'all a bit of fame too.
duron750@950<------about 10 hours per packet
athlon1G@1G<----about 8 hours per packet
winchip2@200 (!)<---about 100...
via voice is a fun *toy*, but little else. maybe when processors hit 10gig we'll have a real VUI. Until then, the keyboard seems to be (sigh) the "only way to get real work done. (tm)"
Please try to offer a Panaflo silent 80mm fan for the Alpha. I really need to shut my system up. I've bookmarked your site & am anxiously hoping you offer it soon!
I drive a Volvo 740 4cyl and I've never noticed gas prices. No it's not the fastest thing in the world (though it does do a rock solid 115mph), but it's nice to be able to go wherever the heck I want to and not ever consider the cost of gas for the trip.
Thanks all. I just have a weird emotional attachment to my modem. It's been far better to me than any chick, and maybe even my dog!
Oh well. I guess I'll just have to move on with my life... <sigh>
I can't seem to find one. I just want to keep my old ISA 56k modem which I dearly love and which can stay up for DAYS and constantly connects at 52000 and has callerID and answering machine functions. It's an Archtek 5634BTS hardware modem and I've never found it's equal. I like this modem so...
borrow someone's switch or router & see if they'll see each other that way. if so, then try a different network card. some network cards just hate each other too much to work with a crossover. that's just the way it is, and sooner or later anyone who networks learns this the hard way.
Thanks all for the replies. I ask 'cause I prefer just straight chip o/cing while leaving the bus not o/ced 'cause I'd rather just hurt one thing instead of all things. I'm using an ECS mainboard though, without any multi options, so any o/c I shoot for would have to be by cutting/crossing...
With my K7S5A I also ordered from NewEgg a 1Gig Athy. I wasn't really planning on O/Cing so I dodn't really care about the stepping, but I'm bored now 'cause the system is just too perfect, so why not mess with it?
Anyway, it seems to me that my chip is quite a bit older, and I'm wondering if...
Just enable it in the bios, be sure it's enabled in the hard drive firmware, and then in the device manager>ide controller. It works. (dma33 only though).
old model has better firmware. they keep updating the 804 firmware though & it's almost as capable as the old unit at this point. hopefully in another month or two it will be as good or better as to function. it's definitely a cuter & cooler running unit than the old 704.
