Replaced mobo & cpu - Win XP not booting...

really? I never knew that. I thought XP automatically recognizes the mobo & cpu.. Do I have to reformat or is re-installing xp enough?

Delayed Booting

I tried 3 power supplies, all the same. Specs - Athlon 1.4 TB EPOX 8K7A 2x256 mb 2100 Micron Ram 80gb WD Caviar HDD Asus GF3 Hercules GTXP Antec PSU - don't remember which one, but it's a good one.

Delayed Booting

When I start my pc I hear the fans turning, the cd light is blinking but the pc doesn't start right away. for a couple of seconds you can hear the fans stopping and restarting, as if the pc is reseting a couple of times. Then after a few seconds, maybe 10, the screen turns on and the pc boots...

Repeating Booting Problem - Help!

I don't understand - is there a known problem between my mobo (epox 8k7a) and Enermax psu's?? I read about the 5 volt mod thing, I don't understand nothing about that and I don't wanna touch the psu cause I like living.. Should I replace on of the two or is there anything that I can do?

i'll try the updates. the cpu is not hot, there's no oc, and the ps is good quality - enermax. I'll check the code thing, didn't notice that before.

I tried with only one ram stick, didn't help. And the HDD is new and is working fine so I don't think that's the problem. You think it's either the mobo or the ram? I'll try to play with the ram again today..

Best Vale\Quality 19" Monitor?

Hey. I'm looking to replace my current monitor because it got fuzzy on it's upper part and it's causing me eye strain and headaches. I'm looking for a 19" monitor. I don't wanna spend too much (up to $400). Quality is very important - reading text and playing games. Thanks.

Weird restart & booting problems

I took some load of the psu, took out the fand, crw & floppy (didn't have the patience to take out the cards..) Problem's still there.. my mobo, Epox 8K7A, has a 2-digit display on one of it's corners.. after pressing the power button the digits got restarted over and over again, without the pc...

Jiggz - thanks, will do. Do you think that, if the psu is the problem, it's caused because of power requirements? It's a 430W Enermax psu, I thought that it was more than sufficient.. So it's probably gonna be the mobo.. But i'll do what you said to be sure.

need help choosing memory

I'm getting a bit confused.. If I wanna overclock a 2.4c to 3ghz, will I need to raise the FSB? And if I raise the FSB, I need faster ram so it will have the same fsb?

Need memory advice for new rig

I'm building a new rig and all i'm missing is some memory. I need 512 mb and I guess it's cheaper to buy 2 256mb sticks, so i'll go with that. My rig will be a P4 2.4C & an Abit IS7-E. It will be for gaming mostly. Also I plan to overclock the cpu and possibly the memory, but i'll go easy...

I'm having weird problems when I click the power button.. The fans start to work and that led turns on.. but the computer isn't booting.. like a car that can't start.. Usually I press reset and it starts fine. Sometimes though I need to press reset a couple of times or shut it down and start it...

IIyama Vision Master Pro 452, 454 or 455??

I'm looking for a new 19" monitor and after hearing some bad things about Viewsonic's blurry text I ruled that out. So i'm probably gonna go with Iiyama. What are the differences between the monitors? Which one should I get for reading text & playing games?
