I have an Auria 27" that is running at 2560x1440 as my main monitor, and I was planning on adding a 1080P 39" HDTV to my room for a larger gaming display. Will it possible to mirror both without forcing the 27" into a lower res, assuming both won't be on at the same time? Or is it possible to...
All of my network cables have been from monoprice. However the last batch I got, only one cable was able to transmit over 8mb/s. I'm no networking expert but the way I tested them was hooked up my laptop to my gigabit router and transferred a 4gb file to my Unraid server. If results were slow...
Is there a special way I have to hook up the switch? Like specific port numbers are recommended for certain tasks? Or can you just plug in wherever you want?
The way I have my network setup at home is as follows:
Cable Modem>Gigabit Router>Powerline Adapter A> Powerline Adapter B>Gigabit switch>Laptops
I have an Unraid server hooked directly to the router and it stores all of my files. What I'm trying to accomplish is allow my two laptops...
Ok I think it's a bad ram slot even though the beeps aren't correct. There are 2 slots on the board. I've tried every combination and it seems that everytime I fill the slot closest to the CPU, it wouldn't post. I've tried using just one stick and loaded up both optimzed and fail safe defults...
When system powers on, case fans spin continuously, but CPU fan spins for a second and stops. The system then beeps continuously (short beeps) and then shuts off. Nothing happens for about 5-10 seconds, then it starts the process over.
This would be the closest match:
Continuous short beeps: Power error
I have the 12v and atx power cables plugged in, and i've tried using multiple psus, but still nothing.
SSD's are expensive, but they offer the most performance for the $$$ IMO. My celeron equipped netbook with SSD boots up and loads programs faster then my old gaming rig which was equipped with a e8400 @ 4ghz and caviar black drive.
People spend ridiculous amount of money on the latest CPUs...
Just built an i3 with gbyte H55 rig but i'm getting post issues. I've removed everything but the CPU and hsf and it still won't post. I've even tried a different psu. I get a bunch of short beeps
I'll be receiving this case within the week but from what I can gather, the case only comes with two fans. There's an 80mm space and a 92/80mm space if you would like to add more fans. I would go with Scythe Flex fans if you're getting it from microcenter. Noise is a big issue for me, especially...
Ok I checked my connections, and my power supply switch was incorrectly plugged in. However after fixing that I tried to start it up again and the PSU fan would turn on for a sec then shut back down. I tried the paperclip trick with the PSU and the internal fan would spin normally. I hooked up a...
Well last night I did some wire management and pulled and reinstalled all of the wiring in my rig. When I tried to turn on my system, it would start up for a split second and immediatley shut off. I tried the power button a few more times with the same result. I unplugged all of my drives and...
I use Utorrent and it's the same if I pause everything. Even when I was maxing out my torrent speeds, I was able to browse at a reasonable, albeit slow speed. But now, pages aren't loading whatsoever for 10 minutes.
It happens in both IE7 and Firefox.
For some reason web pages have started to take an insanely long time to load (minutes to load a page) however my network connection appears to be fine. Torrent files are downloading at a normal rate, and windows cannot find anything wrong with the connection. Reseting my modem and router did not...
I used to be able to click on a video link, and WMP would open and play it. For some reason it doesn't work anymore and I get the error: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."
What could be the problem?
I'm using Vista, WMP11 and IE7.
I have a thermaltake 480w psu with the following being powered by it:
-A64 3000
-Radeon 9800 pro
-Radeon 7000
-HDTV tuner card
-SB Audigy 2
-4 hard drives
-1 DVD burner and 1 CD burner
This seems to run fine, but I would like to add 2 more hard drives to my rig. Will my PSU be enough...
I don't know anything about current cards. I have a 9800 pro right now running off an A64 2800+ (1.8ghz) with 1gb of ram. I don't plan on building a new rig until a few months after Vista is released so I need a new gfx card to hold me over. What vid card do you guys recommend for under $100...
From my understanding, you cannot combine the new lowered price with the free lamp offer. It only applies to the original $1495 price of the projector before Mitsu decided to lower the retail price to $995
I currently have an AGP Radeon 9800, and a PCI Radeon 7000 in my rig. I recently bought a third LCD so I'm going to need a third DVI output. I'd rather just run 2 vid cards in my rig and was wondering if there are any PCI cards with dual DVI outputs?
Yes I know I should be jumping on the...
It's a postal box that about 20 neighbors on my street use. It has a drop slot for outgoing mail. The mail does indeed get picked up and dropped off by USPS.
I just remembered that I dropped off a small package in the mailbox without postage. What happens now? Will it eventually be retuned (if so how long.) Or can I kiss it goodbye?
I'm about to make a fairly large purchase from a personal seller ($750.) Is there any way i can protect myself through paypal? If I pay via CC but through paypal, will it help in the event that I get burned?
Kind of a weird problem I've encountered the other day after reformatting my buddy's computer. I installed all the drivers, anti-virus and anti-spyware software and restarted the comp. However the comp wouldn't boot up normally. Although everything seems to be on, the screen is blank (standby)...
I have an Canon I5000 and it's greater. It's even better since I can use generic ink cartridges for a fraction of the price. However I need to purchase 2 more printers for work and for my sister. From what I can gather, all the canons that are capable of using cheap inks are discontinued, and...
Difference between buying it online and buying it from costco is that you do not get costco's liberal return policy. If the drive dies on you, or hell, if you don't like the aesthetics of the casing a few years down the road, you can return it anytime you want.
Currently building an el cheapo rig right now with a Foxconn barebones system and some extra parts I had laying around. The problem is that after I turn the computer on, I see the bootscreen, but then the computer shuts itself down after about 3-4 seconds. I've tried disconnecting everything but...
