    Thanks for the help. I am actually considering getting the case side panel laser cut, I am pretty sure there is a laser cutter hear on campus, and if not there is one near by that can do it for cheap, it'll keep it nice and neat, and leave a GT for me to place on the other side of the case.

    if you want, you can drop the voltage to 7 without spending a dime and try that out. It should give you at least a reference point to see if playing with the voltage on your fan is an option (if 7 is too loud and not pushing enough air, I'd say 9 ain't gonna help things)
