    Most 1.0 Ghz bird will hit @ least 1.2Ghz. Yours...depends on steppings could probably yield more. 200 Mhz it may seems...but running it @ 9.0 X 133 FSB actually yield much better performance. More if run @ 7.0 X 166 FSB.

    A Pally XP1600+, A7V333 & SK-6. Previously running a XP1900+, take it out to test a XP1600+. Put in the combo, power up & it got shut down in 2 seconds. Check thru the HSF fan cable in the right header...power up again & same probs. Clear the CMOS, power up...smell something burnt. Power off...

    To add a piece of mind to u. I had an XP 2200+ rev A chipped on 3 corners + 1 in the middle-edge. If ran fine @ stock...now running 2 GHz (12 X 166)...stable. From the pic...u will be fine. Mine is worst + its on 3 of the 4 corners. ;)

    a7v333: Why does it support pc2700?

    2 things: - 1. The newer rev mobo had a changed "clock generators" chip tht support a 1/5 PCI divisor (KT333 is capaable of a 1/5 PCI divisor). 2. Some capasitors changes to accommodate the voltage requirement of the XP 333FSB.

    If O/Cing potential is wht u r lookin @...yeah the 2100+ (T-bred B) o/c better than the 2200+ (T-bred A). If u already owned a 2200+...save the $$ for something else. At 2GHz clock speed, I would its already ass kickin. ;)

    Adjusting the multiplier + FSB will not damage ur CPU. The worst u can get is no POST. increase the voltage (vcore ) of ur CPU WILL DAMAGE UR CPU. Take note on this.

    Abit KD7-Raid, no video?

    The KD7-RAID (KT400) support only the newer VGA card (1.5v). Older 5v or 3.3v VGA card is not supported. I think tht 4 beeps is also VGA related. By any chance...do u hv other VGA card to test it out ?

    Under this method, a vcore up a notch (0.25v) is advisable. The increase in FSB do make the CPU to work harder althou the overall speed is the same. But if u r able to run stock vcore...better.
