    &H prefix means the value is in hexadecimal. Hence the 255 value (15*16 + 15) AND is boolean 'and' operator, if you and anything with &HFF, you get the lower 8 bits. If you think VB is crap because of this, youshould see C.

    What kind of OC is possible with the VGA Silencer on the 9700 Pro

    I could get my Sapphire 9500@9700 to 420/300 speeds, but 3dmark03 showed little art?facts, so I settled for 400/300 which is still pretty good - I get 5840 3dMard03. With a 9500. And best of all Silencer does not emit an audible sound. You can tell I aam extremely happy.

    @tart666 : lol. From the look of documents I found on the web about the subject, I would have slept in that class too. @monzie : thx. I think I'll return to the normal settings, as I said before, sRGB makes whites look kind of yellow. (didn't get the bit about the dark room though)

    Ok. Allow me to make this clearer. I have, along with usual 9500K, 6500K, etc. color presets, an sRGB (and I know what RGB stands for like 15 years, thank you) setting. I have found an article about it at w3c.org, but it was too technical. Anyone else?

    PII 300 to 450 :D Drakkan worked great and I was happy PIII 1000 to nothing (not an overclocker really) Celeron 1100 to 1460 (sold my PIII to buy this, 50% speed bump and spare cash to be spent on memory!!) ...and lastly (and seemingly leastly) PIV 2.6c to 3.12 (disappointing really)

    My monitor, along with some other color settings, has an sRGB setting. This just seems to make the picture more yellow (but picture colors are better) and disables contrast and brightness settings. What is sRGB good for?

    I have just bought an LG 40x12x40 writer after reading some good reviews, can't say anything about reliability but it is damn fast- burning complete audio CD's at 2:30 minutes. It can also write at that speed to media rated only at 40x. Right now I'm quite happy with this drive.
