toms hardware has a writeup on a opteron platform, but i have not read it yet. i cannot comment as to the content and what not, just that they had an article. i came to anand to see if they had a non-biased comparison before heading over there.
with double sided dimms you can have bank interleave. it is not a great boost in performance but is a boost none the less. on my mainboard i can have 2-way or 4-way bank interleave depending on how many modules i have installed.

if you aint got a dremel buy a cheap hack saw. it is not pretty, but is effective and gets the job done.

what power supply are you useing? is it amd approved? are you on dial up or broad band? either way (broad band or dial up)change the location of the pci card(modem or nic). different pci slots share interupts, read the manual it says which ones share what interrupts. i have one of these boards...
this board is a power hog!
what power supply and how old is the power supply, i have one of these boards and was having a heck of a time with it, mainly lock-ups,bsod that kind of thing untill i upgraded my power supply. after that it has been a really sweet board.

that is a nice board though - k7t266 pro2-ru - comes with 7 (2 in the regular spot and then a three port card blind plate and a 2 port d-con blind plate that also has status light on it. the lights are not for the usb they are for booting error reporting) and i think it has a raid controller...
