Excite purchased @home a while back, so it doesn't matter if it is Comcast or Cox or whatever @home, they are all served by Excite@home. Now it sounds like all @home subscribers will actually be AT&T subscribers instead.
It's not a conspiracy, there're not out to get you! The news sites (cnn.com, msnbc.com, etc.) have the capacity of maybe a few thousand viewers at one time. There are possibly MILLIONS of people hitting the news sites all at once, and the capacity isn't there.
