I really question if you guys saying "128bps.. waah..." have even heard AAC... we're not talking about 128bps MP3.. it's AAC... and if you look around on the Mac boards you'll see most people are reporting it sounds GREAT... I've got a mac and have listened to the 30sec samples on my Sony MDR...
Please don't take my work as truth.. I only have a Ibook and G4 desktop. I know the ibook isn't supost to work in clamshell mode but the more I think about it the TiPB should and does.. you may want to check out macnn.com's forum and post there.

You'd be talking about "clamshell mode" I think you can do it on the PB but not on the Ibook.. Also you really don't want to do that. Apple specifically stated they don't support clamshell modes because of heat build up. There's some extensive talk about this over at www.macnn.com in the PB...

sounds like a driver problem. Get the latest drivers. you may just want to reinstall. Any way, I'd sugest you snag some more ram while the price is still low!!

I work with Compaq laptops all the time at work. If you don't get the flashing block at boot that meens the Compaq tools where not loaded after the machine was fdisked. The special compaq tools make a 45meg partition on the drive and you need to install the special software to make bios changes...
