HDTVman, you are the freakin man... that USB mouse switcher worked!!! i no longer have the 1/30th of a second lag. i am very happy. i will install it on my athlon XP tomorrow to see if it fixes it there too...
porkster, thanks for your suggestions... btw, my gfx card on my a64 and my...
ok lithan, it's not in my head cuz i have proof with the video i took... i will see if i can post that here... and secondly, how can you so audaciously (take the lord's name in vain and) say "God, Im so sick of people with no clue what they are talking about spewing this garbage." b/c you...
hdtvman, nope, this occurs with the same mouse pad.
thanks for your input though...
i'm now wondering if i'm really just super sensitive to this (cuz like i said, no one else that uses my computer has noticed it) or if there is some software that is causing this...
i installed xp on my A64...
dman, that stuttering is exaclty what i meant by the lag when running multi-aps... so you don't notice the mouse lag? i mean, it's not easily noticeable at all... none of my friends have noticed it on my computer until i pointed it out. it's very subtle. do you, by chance, have the same mouse...
yes this is happening on windows xp pro with service pack 2 and all the updates from windows update... i'm also running the latest drivers for the motherboard so the latest usb drivers should be in effect.
what i left out of the original message was that i've done this test with my athlon xp...
i only recently noticed this after i ordered the logitech mx1000 mouse.
i'm not talking about the lag associated with taking the mouse off of the surface and replacing it, that lag happens independent of what computer it's connected to (due to the laser turning off and on).
what i am talking...
my venice 3200+ (monarch.com) is stable at 275X10 in everything, prime95 stable overnight, superpi 32M stable, counter-strike stable... although my vcore had to be bumped up pretty high (look at my sig), with my HSF, the temps are nice so i'm keeping it at that vcore.
dd
like someone above said, the modstream's peak is 550, most companies would advertise that as a 550... i'm using the modstream 450 right now and it's super stable.
i am using the same ram.
if i were you, i'd try 270X10 with HHT at 3 or 4...
since your chip is way better than mine, i bet it can clock to 280X10 or evern 290X10.
you should be able to do all that at 2.5-4-3-6. if not, raise the timings incrementally to 2.5-4-4-10... that should def. work...
have you gotten your new power supply unit yet?
it is very odd that your card is freezing up with the cooler heat sink/fan and not with the stock... since the fan on the VF700 cooler probably draws more power than the stock fan, i'd guess it is your psu. it is weak but could it also be...
is there some kinda converter that allows me to run a flip chip in my ppga 370 mb?
i have an abit BP6... as far as i know, it can only run ppga chips.
i just bought a celeron II 800 (fcpga).
I know they have slot 1 to fcpga/ppga converters... but i need fcpga to ppga converter.
