No, I didn't mix 1's and 2's. I tried everything, it still does not work, maybe I should ask newegg to exchange the MB.

Thanks a lot, guys! The winxp that I installed has sp1 integrated. After finishing install winxp, I installed motherboard drivers. So this is not the problem. I follow the instruction in "*** Official EPoX 8RDA/+ (nForce2) Thread *** " to connect the USB pins, the pin#10 remains unoccupied ...

Just helped a friend to build a new computer using Thoroughbred 1700, EPOX 8RGA+ and antec lanboy case. Loaded WinXP enterprise edition with sp1. The back side USBs work very well. But the front USBs, which are connecting to the motherboard USB pin connectors refuse to work. I double checked...

<< Were these wires on the inside of that case while the power was on or was it the outside of the PC case? Any signs of power coming on at all like fans spinning? What you can try is resetting the CMOS or removing the cmos battery , dissconnect the HD's and cd-roms and see if anything starts...

My computer was on and I was trying to orginize the wires of my computer, some of the pin-head wire touched the case, then my computer is down and never on. Can some body tell me what happened to it? Is it because the power supply or motherboard?I need your advices to buy new parts. Please help...

yeah, I used the fdisk of win98 to remove all of the partitions, but I still got the same problem.
