You should know better than to query plot holes in films that are based around future events. There IS no answer. Unless you consider the possibility of parallel and converging universes... oh dear, i've become all para-philosophical now :disgust:

*phew* I thought I was losing it and failing miserably to keep up with developments. Cheers Pr0d1gy :) Yeah, the more expensive one has the required hard drive (needed for storing profiles for emulation of original xbox games). I'd like to rig up two 'boxes, but seems a bit pricey to buy...

I think the 2nd version of any film like this is going to be fairly average. It's not a new idea any more - the whole pull of those films is their freshness.

Doom the movie better have the BFG

Isn't the one thing about Doom that counts, the atmosphere? It was hardly groundbreaking any other way (okay, cosmetically pretty appealing). If the film has the atmosphere, it's half-way there! You're hardly going to get a plot-heavy, weaving tale of intrigue and depth. It's Doom ffs! Can't...

I used to like them... loved one back in the days of Win95 that made the screen look like it was melting. Nowadays, I use a picture viewer that randomly picks from the 1000s of images I have... I find that much more interesting :)

Period-Space or Period-Space-Space

one space... see no point in using two spaces... there's no "correct" way of doing it anyway. It doesn't fall under grammar, spelling, punctuation... it's merely layout and effect. To me, using two spaces just makes the two sentences further apart, as though you're after a lengthier pause...

One thing I've been searching for (with no success) is any mention of whether it would be possible to play an original xbox game on the 360, in multiplayer against the same game running on an original xbox. The reason I'm interested is that when I get a 360, I'd love to be able to play...

Life instincts: hunger, thirst, shelter and sex

I would have to add that many people require the lurrrve of a good (wo)man to feel fulfilled. The things you suggest fulfill the animal instinct in us.. but there's a level of social behaviour in us too. Besides, some people are also fulfilled without sex (odd as that sounds to some).

Why are yawns contagious?

I heard it was due to the fact that when one person yawns, they draw in loads of breath, which in turn makes others worry about the impending shortage or oxygen, so they semi-consciously react by yawning too. Of course that could've just been the voices in my head that said that.
