I am extremely disappointed by this news. RebateMonger said it perfectly.
For me, WHS is dead. I love my v1, but will need to look elsewhere now for my home storage solutions going forward.
How's unRAID and flexRAID?
I've been following this thread on the MS Technet forums. None of the solutions there work for me, but maybe they will for you. I'm in the same boat with a Seagate drive.

I decided to look at my DLink's logs and there is a posting in there every 3-4 seconds saying either "DHCP Discover" or "DHCP Discover no response". Does anyone know where this problem may be coming from? Could it be causing my disconnects when hosting?
I tried forwarding the ports to my wireless PC (10.0.0.2) from the Cisco and was able to host a game. However, once the game started after everyone joined, they were all kicked from the game. It seems like I made some progress because I couldn't even get people to join the game before...
Thanks for the quick reply. By that do you mean setting the Cisco to port forward ports 6112-6119 to my Dlink (IP 10.0.0.100) or forward them to my PC?
First off, thanks for looking at this post. Here's my setup:
Cisco 678 DSL model/router - DLink DI-624 Wireless router - Multiple Computers (Wireless and Wired)
The problem is that I'm unable to host custom games on Battle.net with any of my computers connected wirelessly to the DLink (I...
I dont think there are any sites around that will tell you what week they are shipping. You might get lucky if you were to call. If I could have any chip, it'd be a week 48. Those hit around 2.8 on air... I think your best bet, if you want to handpick a chip, is to check your local shops.
Ctrl Z, the answer to your question is yes. Using the Dual Xpress Graphics technology, you could run 3 or 4 monitors off two different cards in the normal Ultra board.
One final update. I found an old ethernet card lying around that I thought was broken, but I figured that I'd give it a go anyway. So, I plugged it in, booted up, and now my internet and network access work fine at all times. I don't understand what was going on, but it's working now.
As a...
A little update... it's not the cabling. I had the IT guy come check everything out and even gave me a new port on the hub. Same symptoms. When watching the amount of traffic on my computer - When doing nothing, I receive 10,000 Bytes every second. Any other ideas as to what in software...
I played around with it a little more and I found out that when I switch the plugs we use and unplug my computer (So he is in the same situation mine is when not working), his network continues to function normally. I also tried a cable that I know for sure works to connect my ethernet card to...
I've been having trouble with incredibly slow internet access for the past couple days and I think I narrowed down my problem. The thing is, I live in an apartment complex that has Ethernet access to T1's. When my roomate unplugs his Mac iBook for the day to take it with him, my internet...
I say get the Teac 540E, I got one of those going from a no name CD Reader and I am very satisfied. Between 20 and 30x digital audio extraction. Now I can burn on the fly at 8x. Just my opinion.

Hello
I just purchased a Teac CD-540E CDROM online and installed it in my computer. I upgraded the firmware to 3.0A using the utility found at Teac's website, but I am getting horrible speeds using my drive. When I test it using CDSpeed99, I get around 5x speed out of it. Using Sandra...
I am trying to set up my computer to run RedHat Linux 7, but I've been incountering problems because I really have no idea what I'm doing. Here is my situation. I have a 30 GB hard drive split up into 2 partitions. The first (C:) is 20 GB and holds Windows '98 SE and all my files. The second...
Zero,
I can't decide between the FPS 2000 and these either. I have a Live, but don't have digital output addon. Hmmm. This may take some decision making

Why is it that when I click on the Computer Geeks link, it says they are $152 and there is no button to push to order them? Is it just me? I would really like these speakers. $124 is a great deal

Hi,
I just installed my Plextor CD-RW and now when I try and play CD's in my regular CDROM, the computer slows down to a crawl. It works just fine when I place the CD in the Plextor and then hook up headphones to the jack on the front of the drive. I've tried the Plextor as both master and...
Hey,
I just got my new plextor IDE CD-RW in the mail today and was looking over the installation instructions. It says to make it master and my CDROM my slave. Is this necessary or better? It makes more sense to me to set the Plextor to slave. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance...
Hey,
I recently built a new computer with the Sound Blaster Live Value, but I want an Optical output for my minidisc player and Coaxial output for the FPS 2000 speakers that I will soon be getting. I've been looking at buying one of the addons from Hoontech.com, but am unclear about what I...
I think that you have your math messed up :-) 27.99-19.99 = 8; 8*.1 = .80; 19.99-.80 = $19.19. It is 10% off the difference, correct? Can anyone back me up?

Snut,
Price was the main reason that I bought foakley A-wires. I have been really happy with them. I'd be worried that I would lose real $100+ Oakley sunglasses. Oakleys do have the best warrenty in the industry, though. I bought my foakleys at: http://www.replicaoutlet.pair.com/

I bought a pair of replica A-wires from there. They are very high quality. I went to Sunglass hut and couldn't even tell the difference. Just stay away from the Juliets because those are obvious replicas. They are plastic instead of metal.
