But I don't get that much spam on icq. I get more on my hotmail account, while I got my ICQ longer.
And the few spam messages I get can easily be handled: right click on the name/Edit User Group/Ignore List.

It can vary, but you find it mostly in: C:\windows\Application Data\Identities\<some weird numbers and letters>\Microsoft\Outlook Express

I think that too, but it is very difficult to prove it is without you permission. It is possible that you entered your e-mailadress somewere on a website and in small fonts...

Actually people are adviced not to click on such a link. Because the spammer then knows that you use that mailbox, so it will result in more spam.
