I have tried everything to get this to idle in windows 10. In the bios the system is showing 3812 at 32c .972 volts
In windows 10 its at 4600 with cpu usage fluctuating at 0-1%
I tried setting the power settings in windows to min of 10 but it changed nothing.
Is there something in the bios or...

I was looking at some 3070 and 3080 cards and was suprised at the spread of boost clocks on the different cards. I know they are binning them but 3070 range from 1725 to 1905. The 3080 was even wider.
How much performace does this amount to?
I know oc memory was the way to go to boost game...
What should I be looking for in a motherboard?

thanks this really helps. I was going to get a 5900 and motherboard but since you can't find any I saw some 5600 and said that should work. Since then they have gone sky high so I decided to wait probably to the summer. But by then if the next gen gets out in fall why buy it.
AMD said that the new Zen will be out by the end of the year. pci 5, ddr 5 and everything new tech.
Is first gen too much of a beta test and not worth the predicted high price for all this?

I hope they sell a lot of these and it keeps nvidia inline on pricing. BUT I have head too many horror stories about drivers and SLOW updates. That scares me too much to try amd.
seeing a lot of talk about 240 and 360 monitors. I am using a 144hz monitor and just curious do you really see a difference? I know the numbers sound great but just standard gaming no leet competition play or anything like that.
the new intel launch is a little strange. big (Golden Cove) and little (Gracemont) cores in the design. Other features such as PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 should be present as well.

Tried 2 different hdmi cables and same thing. Tried a different monitor ( brand and size, my old 27 in) and white is white this is with a dvi cable.
