Tbred A and B... which one for Abit KG7?

above 13 seems to run at default, but it is used as a workaround for CPUs with a higher than 13 multiplier by default. makes no sense, but that's how it seems to work. hrm.

thanks guys, i do believe that it's not printed in the manual and i did not have another pc connected at her house, so i was at the mercy of the printed manual. damn skimpy manuals. now abit manuals, they rock.

i built a system for my mom utilizing the evercase and k7s5a combo, and it worked like a charm. didnt have the time to figure the pinout on the front usb, but i'll get it done someday :)

How far can a GeForce2 PRO go?

DON'T try to take this card that high. I have the MSI 8831 GF2 Pro, and the highest i could get the mem stable was 450, it's 5ns DDR... Those gainwards more than likely have like 4.5 or 4ns ram, which will get the mem clock up to 500+, but ramsinks on the MSI would be next best thing to...

gf4 4200 vs 4400

you can overclock any brand, just some don't come with the utility. but for the most part, utility or not, most manufacturers don't really support the overclocking of vid cards... look for powerstrip, it's an excellent oc'ing utility and it does a lot of other stuff too... i've had no problems...

and you can get an MSI sis 645 DX for less than $80. and the overclockablility is proven. plus dont forget the support for DDR400. at ddr400 it will SMOKE the intel chipsets.

honestly, a SIS645DX MB would be a better investment. they are rock stable and give outstanding OC performance, use ddr333 and watch it fly. intel is not enough performance at too much of a price. it's like buying polo brand clothing. other clothes might wear better, but you want it because of...

Attention Video Gurus: IS Geforce4 ti4200 128MB a better buy?!

excuse me if i'm wrong, but i don't believe the ti4200 is missing ANY functions, nor is crippled in any way, other than having slower RAM/clock speed. EVERY reveiw states it has the same core as the 4600. I just need $175 so i can get a ti4200, tho :) but until then, it's good to know i can...

Ti4200: Faster RAM vs. More RAM

i really think what we need is a gf4200 roundup. there are enough cards on the market now, i think it would be easy for anandtech or t*mshardware to get a sampling from different manufacturers, especially MSI, Gainward, visiontek and eVGA, who all seem to be occupying the lower end of the price...
