Scanner question

Is it relatively easy to do without damaging anything? How carefull do I need to be with the scanner components? Thanks for the help. Tim

I have a Microtek Scanmaker 4800 scanner that does a good job. However, the glass appears to need cleaning on the inside of the scanner, if that makes any sense. I have dust and what appears to be almost a fog on the inside of the glass. My question is, can I remove the glass and clean it...

CD Player doesn't recognize music cds

Actually, I am using the on-board sound since my pci soundcard was having some troubles. I made that switch prior to the os upgrade and I could listen to the cds using the headphone jack on the drive. I'm at work right now, so I will take a look this evening to see where the connection is...

Hey, I got it to work! I started over from scratch and re-installed windows, the motherboard drivers and then the video driver. Same as I did the other night, but this time it worked. Thanks to all for the help. Tim

I disconnected the sound card and started the computer. I get the same result "PCI Card Found". I have no PCI devices installed.

UMAX Astra 3450 scanner
