K7S5A crashes with Firewire HDD... Any idea?

I've got a Firewire scanner attached to a ECS K7S5A using the 3-port Firewire controller that came with the Umax Astra 6400. The problem comes when I plug in a Firewire HDD unit into any of the ports - it blue screens. I didn'twrite down the module it crashes in unfortunately. The same setup was...

Just need a few things confirmed about these Accesspoints / adaptors We'll have two PC's about 20 meters as the crow flies but over two floors - I'm not sure one access point will be able to serve both PC's. Is it possible to roam using 802.11a? (so we'll be chaining up two access points closer...

What logo would other armies have?

I was amazed to discover (no, I guess I shouldn't be knowing the US) that the US Army has a proper corporate-style logo, and that it's trademarked (or rather service marked). So what logo would other countries armies have? And a logo of a tank for Canada isn't allowed :P

Is there any reason why the Teac CD-532S is mind-numbingly slow in audio extraction (2x, ferchristssake!)? Any way to improve it? Thanks!

Hmmm. Interesting. What would you recommend that I can buy easily in the UK? I note that Dell doesn't seem to carry Planar monitors in Europe. There's also the style issue - my work room is going to be remodelled, and the Cinema Displays would work great. I work mainly in Excel, some proprietary...

Thanks very much - do you or anyone else have more specific info about the converters? With the screen at $2,500 each - untimately looking at getting two side by side - a couple of hundred bucks ain't going to make a lot of difference. PS, you forgot to add Windoze v Mac in your sig :D

Holy CRAP! It costs less than 10 pounds a day to rent a Mercedes A-Class in London!

Not sure how the 'manual (i.e. stick shift) license only' proviso applies to US drivers :D I took my test, eons ago, on an automatic-only license, as it seemed quicker and I was 'inheriting' my parents old automatic car anyway. It causes me problems when renting in UK - which I rarely do but...

You'll only get the 7506 in speciality stores in Europe, and then rarely less than ?180. The V6 is not available. The Beyerdynamic DT231 is an excellent buy in Europe. Looks dull as ditchwater compared to the HD497, but it is single-corded, built solidly, comfortable, and an outstanding phone...

Looks like an evil sod to me... Any way you or anyone you know can trap it and release it outside? Shinerburke et al will probably try and blast it, the round will rebound off the wall and get him instead... :D Down my neck of the woods, the pests are foxes. They just stay about a carslength...
