Hisense is stereo and does have S-video, and the picture is also very, very good. However, I'm still kicking myself for not being patient and getting this deal instead, since having an additional dvd for $40 more (and perhaps hackable) would be so much more of a deal.
These guys are decent. Their description may indeed not be accurate from time to time, but I've ordered from them in the past and usually was satisfied. One time I wasn't they sent me a prepaid return label - no question asked.
Just did the region hack from VCD HELP. Region 3 discs now play like a charm, Region 2 discs do NOT play at all. I don't have discs from other regions to check. The only logical explanation that comes to mind is that since these players are not designed to play VCDs, they might not have PAL-NTSC...
With all the websites and forums around here there are still some books on the subject. The one I liked the most, was "Don't get taken every time" written by Remar Satton who is a cofounder (with Ralph Nader) of the Consumer Task Force for Automotive Issues. Granted, I didn't know much about...
4200 is a very nice unit but it does NOT (and neither does 4250) play vcds or svcds at all - info on Return Buy site is misleading. 4000 does play vcds and svcds but goes for a little more. They did offer me full refund, but I'm still gonna keep my 4200, though that misleading info on their site...

I've bought 2 cheap GoVideo DVD players from these guys. First, DVP 850, has minor annoyances, but otherwise works fine. The second one, DVR4200, arrived just yesterday and so far I love it. I wouldn't risk buying this TV without a warranty, though.
HSN has this camera for $79.80 with free shipping: Link. There is a $25 out of $35 coupon that can be found, and unlike previous HSN coupons it seems to be working with sales items. I didn't find any reviews on this one, but there are reviews on its predecessor a 640X480 one that can be found...
Funny, I tried walk past the line with the prepaid postage in my PO and got turned down by a clerk who said I still had to stay in line. Not to mention all the looks I received from the folks there... I wonder how you, guys, get away with that. Secret handshake, or something?:)
Iamme wrote: If the PM w/ Staples doesn't work, you can PM it with OfficeMax. They give you 110% of the difference. Just buy if from OM and fill out their online PM request. I did it with this camera to Buydig.com and it went through fine.
Not likely to work for this camera. Here is the qoute...
From what I understand the only limitation is that you will not be able to connect directly to an NTSC TV which is a standard format for North America. Pal is Europian format.
This $10 discount at Rexstores does not seem to be working:
"ERROR: Coupon VUYI9463 is either expired or not yet in effect"
Nicely put. And I thought Mother's day was today, not yesterday or tomorrow. Silly me:) Thanks for the info, though.
I just bought a pair of these for my surround speakers. Don't know how good they are but folks from dvdtalk.com (where goes the credit) give them decent reviews. Comes to $36 including shipping to NY.
Thank you for the link, Gregtor. I just signed up with Highstream, and am already up and running. So far, so good. Not only it's a good deal for under $9 a month, but they also have newsgroops, which is a rartity for this price range.
With all those ridiculous prices on inkjet paper supply there is never too much paper. I often buy HP cartridges, but have been unaware of this offer. Thanks a lot.
I received my package from Sunn yesterday - 3 days after placing the order. This is lightning fast in my book, and his prices are very good! I ordered a combo: C204 charger + 8 GP 1800 AA and separately 4 GP AAA. What I didn't like was that 4 out of 8 AAs were just lying there at the bottom of...
Sorry, couldn't find 20% though I could swear I saw it somewhere. But if you go to the place where folks with f*t wallets like to hang out and make a simple search, you'll at least find this: office Depot 10% off $50. Better than nothing, IMHO.
Amex BVG is a hot deal. When a hot deal goes sour due to whatever reason, I believe it's only sensible to alert as many fellow readers as possible, and posting in Brag & Moan unfortunately does not alert a lot of members. I for one am truly thankful to PullMyFinger for sharing this information...
Losty, it does have 3 recording speeds which is BTW one of the reasons I was all over this deal in the first place. However, I tried to record at SP, and it came out badly. Not only that, but a tape bought in the dept. store (not self-recorded) played horrible, too. I could try to believe it was...
Yes, I have, it's a piece of sh*t.
Everything worked smoothly until I tried to record a tape. Playback is pure garbage. I thought, bad tape. Pop in a studio copy of Total Recall - same story. My 8-year old 2-head Shinton plays better than this "Hi-Fi". I should've listened to Amazon and Epinion...
Bobob abd Boogoo, thanks so much. I've never even considered getting firewire before so this info is surely very useful. I found this card made by Kouwell Electronics on Newegg for $22. Appears to have everything in one package. Compare to an Audigy card that costs 3 times as much it seems to be...
Bobob,
They do and will pricematch websites. They will ask you to print out a webpage and fax it over. So you just do it and wait for a check. I personally received $175 for this very deal, so just sit back and relax.
QUESTIONS FOR EXPERTS:
How do I connect this thing to a laptop or a desktop...
That's true but I prefer to be sure that I will actually get the show I want. I think those offers are awesome expecially combined with some good restaurant deals, too. Thanks for posting it.
Not really. The rebate is for purchasing an additional brush pack ($19.99) together with the Brown unit. I didn't find any other rebate and you don't have to go through Ebates to see it. If you know otherwise, please advice.
