    It seems that the video card fan wasn't so loud after all. I removed the card and the computer was still loud. I think the CPU fan somehow has become much louder than it used to be and I thought it was the video card.

    Thanks for the info. Unfortunately ATI Tool doesn't do much besides artifact checking for an NVidia card. I think I will just look for a monitor extension cable and put the computer in a closet to reduce the noise.

    I made about 40 large RAR archives. Then I realized that I forgot to do "exclude base directory" when I created them, so all of the files are contained 2 subfolders down into the archive instead of at the root. Is it possible to change them to be at the root without recompressing everything?

    Thanks for the replies. I ended up just taking something out of an old case and bolting it to the bottom of my case. I might have hung it down from the other hard drive racks but then it would be near the internal speaker magnet. Do magnets corrupt hard disks or is that only floppies?
