    Fan is moving and there is no dust in the exhaust. Actually it seem pretty stable right now. I had it on a flat surface and moved it on to my lap. Usually the laptop would put out a lot more heat when it's on my lap, but the temperature is still a constant 64 degrees.

    I put a thin layer less than paper thickness. I'm now getting a reading of 64 C after I rebooted the machine. The temperature is constant. HDD is 48 degree.

    I'm not hearing any beeps and no sound (or HD light) from the hard drive. So I think it's the CPU. I don't know anyone with a motherboard. I hope the new CPU from the Geeks works for me. I should clean the old cooling paste off with alcohol? And apply new paste? correct?

    No it wouldn't. $1470 - 147 (10 percent) = 1329 - (5%)66.15 = 1262.85 or 1470 - 73.50 (5 percent) = 1396.50 - 139.65 (10%) = 1256.85 hmmmmm
