I have to disagree with this! The win7 taskbar is nice but I find quick launch is still useful for helping me position the program icons the way I like them. Secondly there are a few program icons that I personally like to set toward the corner of the screen as apposed to being grouped with...

Anyone used Vista's built in imaging?

Hello Linflas, I have used the Vista complete PC backup to create a backup image file but I have not had reason to try it out yet, so I would be interested in hearing your results. Sorry I can't solve your curiosity but at least this post can serve as a bump for your question.

I'm sure there was nothing left at the store here, it was almost empty a couple of weeks ago when I picked up Vista ultimate. If they are reopening their going to have to completely restock. which is why I'm wondering reopen as what? Maybe some good grand opening sales?

To Playmaker I just received mine. I read according to some users thst if you formated it to ntfs it could work with readyboost but mine is a no-go with ntfs, and Vista said it was not compatible out of the box. O well guess I can find other uses for it.

Vista Sleep Issues

Sleep mode has almost never been a problem for me in Vista-32 or now Vista-64. The only problem I do remember having was a logitech mouse driver, I updated that and all has been fine for months now. I love sleep mode and would consider it a major let down if it weren't working properly...

Unfortunately no luck here either, but I have a question. When I go into default programs list I have been going into the associate file type section to set the gadget file to sidebar but shouldn't the sidebar be listed in the set your default programs section? Thanks Hemitguy.

Thanks for the reply lxskllr, If I double click the file it comes up with the same dialog box as when I try to download it, if I click open it just repeats its self. Now I may have caused this, when trying to get windows to recognize the file type I pointed it to IE7 to try to open the file...

win98 + safely removing usb flash

It's been a long time since I used win9x but my suggestion would be to find the drive in my computer right click on it and see if you can do an eject drive. I just tried it and it seemed to shut down my usb drive, but I am using Vista. Maybe someone else will wonder in who can give you more...

Hmmm, I don't seem to have the full screen application problem, just the one I spoke of in my first post. They certainly could be related though, maybe at some point someone will read this who can point us to a fix because I sure haven't found one yet.

So what drivers are you missing to make Vista Fully operational

I also have the Canon Lide30, I ran the setup in XP-SP2 compatibility mode and it loaded fine. The driver and Canoscan Toolbox seem to work well. The buttons on the front of the scanner also work. I hope this info helps.
