Looks like these are using an add-on media controller, so HDMI 2 doesn't work right now but may in a future software update. Goggling that media controller talks about how it does bring HDCP 2.2. All this new technology hit but looks like the software wasn't done.
Any easy way to tell which of these have Alpine Ridge versus the 3rd party solutions? Looking for one <$200 for overclocking, Intel LAN, and the best long term outlook for adding fast storage.
They are saying the playbook launches on the 27th, so hopefully we will find out then if it does 1080P h.264 high profile.
Upon more reflection, I love FFDSHOW and MPC-Home Cinema. That combo almost makes me want to wait for a windows tablet.
Looks like the Ipad 2 can't do it. 720P 3.1 profile h.264 is the max. Crossing my fingers for the playbook... Else it's just the HP DM1Z netbook which does 1080P with DTSHD and TRUEHD HDMI bitstreaming.
I'm particularly looking for 1080P h.264 High Profile 4.1 DXVA support as that is what I've encoded my home movies and recorded TV shows in and I don't want to re-encode them again. I'll probably just have to wait to reviews come out as I think a lot of tablets are quiet about which processor...
Any of the tablets out now or announced able to handle 1080P MKVs? After some research, I know the tegra 2 processor cannot handle 1080P h.264 high profile.
Thanks
I think Rage is being developed cross-platform, so the Xbox 360 and PS3 might be holding developers back from what a cutting edge PC could do. Also, I think developers take an artistic angle on reality, so even if they had the capability for photo realism, they probably wouldn't duplicate 1:1...
Great program, I just wish they could make it work with 64bit systems since that's all I have. You can use something like ReadyDriver Plus to boot windows with the driver enforcement disabled.
Thanks everyone for your recommendations, I've got a great list to choose from. I've been trying to read up on QOS and different implementation in switches. I know the 802.1p has to rely on the application and network adapter to crank out the correct packet indentifiers. My VOIP modem doesn't...
That HP unmanaged switch gets high marks. I see it still lists QOS, so you could have VOIP have a higher priority level. My only question is since it is a unmanaged switch, how do you set up the QOS?
Managed vs. Smart - By what I can gather, on a managed switch you have to use a serial...
Hey Network Wizards,
Anyone have any recommendations for a 12+ port gigabit switch that handles jumbo frames? I'm redoing my home network and need that many ports for all my different drops. I thought about using two 8 switch ports Daisey chained, or one larger switch. Any brand / model...
Quinoa $1.99 per pound raw, complete set of amino acids, 15 minute prep.
Just fixed some for the first time with some chicken stock and garlic. Much tastier than brown rice and I like the texture better as well.
Any idea when the next generation comes out? I think this one has been out a while. I think the compression could be improved also to something like AVC/h264. Great camera I hear though...
Edit = I see the HV30 is out but the only new thing it adds is 30P. Maybe another year and AVCHD...
Juicy Pear FTW.... One of the best gifts I ever received was a box of bulk Jelly Belly's. Just make sure you like the flavor, cause 10 pounds is a lot!
I'm waiting for the E2160 price cut myself. Mwave seems to be the cheapest so far. I'm also looking for the cheapest IGP that can get a e2160 to ~3ghz, any recommendations?
Do these things go on sale tomorrow (Monday) at all other stores? Also, any recommendations on an inexpensive MB for overclocking this thing since the IP35-E is out of stock at newegg?
I just got this Codegen Rackmount Case to use as a fileserver. Now I need to find a good home for it. I'd like to eventually move my HTPC to a similar, if not the same, case. Therefore, what are some suggestions in where they should reside?
Ideas
I googled the Codegen and this came...
