Brian, inside the BIG box are several smaller boxes. One for the speakers, one for the sub and one for the receiver. Each separate box is easy to carry. You will love this system, it smokes.
just an FYI, I took out the drivers in the speakers to see if they were truly "Polk" speakers. They were not labled Polk but had some numbers stamped on them. They did have huge magnets though!
