If that's the amount of space you need, then the Antec SX10xx is probably not the case for you. You might want to look at one of the big honkin' Addtronics cases - they might be available in this price range. The Antec you would be looking for is th SX12xx, and they are probably out of yoour...

Quiet at Last, but not Silent--Any ideas?

You can also get strips of 1/8" thick rubber and put them on the tops and bottoms of the HD cage. It'll be a bit of a push to get the cage back on and seated firmly, but that'll cut the vibrations transmitted from the cage to the rest of the case.

SK6 plus Silencer 80mm on tbird 1.4

I've got a 28dB/38cfm YS Tech 80mm on my 1GHz, and it is in the high 30's, so the silencer may put you quite a bit higher than that - it depends on what you're after, and what safety margin you're looking for! (though I've been contemplating a similar move recently...) :D

Thermalright sk6 OMG it rocks but sounds like a jetliner.

Check out Gizzo's fan page to look for fan specs for most major manufacturers. You should be able to find comparable fans there, and compare them to the ones you're thinking about...

Too many fans?

Look at what the net power your PSU is producing. Your 250W PSU will generally not deliver the entirety of that to the mobo/peripherals/etc. Depending on your case fans, they should consume between 1 - 2 watts a piece (check the manufacturer), so if you are in danger of browning out your rig...

Can some of you physics/engineer types check my math? I did some QuickMath(tm) to determine the air speed difference between a 60mm and an 80mm fan at equivalent air flow ratings. Everybody talks about how 80mm fans with a funnel don't give the same results as an equivalent (in cfm) 60mm fan, so...

Check out Newark - they have a lot of papst fans (under the papst ebm brand I believe), but the mdel numbers have been changed to protect the innocent. Sorry, but I think that ~$20/fan is about the going rate for these types of fans... To error check that 12 dBA rating - look at the air flow...
