Doom 3 = disappointment

Can anyone recommend a good 19" monitor for a reasonable price?

I have a 19" Monitor from LG (Studioworks 995E), it think it is excellent. (especially for it's price) My desktop resolution is 1280 x 960 x 32 @ 85 Hz (on a TNT2 Ultra) :) It can do 1600 x 1600 x 32 @ 75 Hz, but then things get a little unsharp for me :( Some of my friends have: - iiyama...

minor note: fiber optics has more potential bandwidth than current electronic devices can handle. agp 4x = 66MHz * 32bit * 4 = 1056 MBytes/s = 8.858 GBit/s fiber = estimated limits around 1 TBit/s

the OPTIPLEX is indeed not part of the network simple solution: run a router on the COMPAQ , if it's win2k server, simply enable the service , tada!!! :) you could always download a shareware router.

in win2k: 1) right click 'my computer' 2) select 'manage' 3) in 'computer management', select 'disk managent' (it's under storage) 4) right click on the device (drive) you want to rename 5) select 'Change Drive Letter and Path...' 6) click Edit... 7) choose the letter you prefer 8) click ok :) jan.

i don't know if IIS can tell you how much bandwidth you are using... I use vermillion ftp, which is a simple shareware ftp server (download at tucows) It can show how fast a transfer is going , and also the total bandwidth used by the server. You could also download a shareware ftp client, many...

Cant connect to pc on network.

The ftp test you were trying to pull off, is really a good test, for showing how fast the network is. It will not show how fast file sharing under windows is though, at least not under windows 98. Because for some reason ftp works a lot faster. tests on my system: pc1 over 100Mbit to router...
